Our friends at Bookmaker.eu have this one ending Hornets 109, Magic 103.

90% of the early spread action here was on the Hornets.

This one opened as low as Charlotte -1.5.  It has moved to -4 due to the significant lopsided action here.  Heritage had taken this one up to -4.5 as we were going to press.

We were not seeing a whole lot of early betting volume but this is a critical game for the Hornets, their fans and gamblers alike.

That's because there is one Playoff spot remaining and Charlotte is looking to capture it.

Orlando is already in.

Bookmaker says: "With the top four teams stealing the thunder in the East, there isn’t much left for the Magic and Hornets. And, let’s be honest, these aren’t sexy franchises that broadcast partners want on the air. So, we have a rarity on Wednesday only because there are playoff implications, but if that’s what it takes so be it. There will be an intense feel to this one with plenty at stake for both sides. But the Hornets absolutely need this game for a chance at the second season. With Walker keeping his emotions in check, the Hornets do what they have to do. We’ll see if they get the help they need."

Charlotte has won 13 of the last 14 meetings between these two teams and they come into this one having won four straight.  They were, however, blown out 127-89 in Orlando on Valentine’s Day Feb. 14.

The line here should only be Charlotte -1.5 according to Sagarin.

Orlando has pride to play for.  They are looking to finish the season 42-40, not 40-40.

Charlotte needs a Detroit loss against the New York Knicks in order to advance into the Playoffs.  That's not going to happen as the books have the Pistons a -10.5 favorite in New York.

Hornets cover according to Bookmaker.eu and SO ARE WE -4 Charlotte.
