Max Mosley Advised to Quit by F1 Big Four

F1 Big Four - including ex-world champion Damon Hill, Formula One team chief Mike Gascoyne and two British racing legends -say Formula One Chief Max Mosley should quit

Formula One Motor Racing's most powerful man, Max Mosley, plays a concentration camp commandant in a FIVE-HOUR torture chamber video that first surfaced on the News of the World website two weeks ago.

Mosley is seen barking orders in German as he WHIPS two hookers dressed in striped uniforms reminiscent of AUSCHWITZ garb while girls in Nazi uniforms look on.

At one point the wrinkled 67-year-old—who publicly likes to give the impression he has put his father's evil legacy behind him—yells "she needs more of ze punishment!" while brandishing a LEATHER STRAP over a brunette's naked bottom.

Then the lashes rain down as Mosley counts them out in German: "Eins! Zwei! Drei! Vier! Fünf! Sechs!" In the midst of one beating, a panting Max Mosley watches one hooker take off her Nazi uniform.

Before hammering away at the girls he plays a cowering death camp inmate himself, having his GENITALS inspected and his hair searched for head LICE.

Respected Briton Gascoyne (above right) becomes the first senior F1 boss to demand the FIA president stands down, according to NOTW.

“If he wishes to stay, it will devalue his office, which is obviously not good. I think any person in that position has to consider the impact of their actions.”

Five-times Le Mans 24-hour winner Derek Bell was even more damning. He said: “Max has to think of racing instead of himself and stop being so damn selfish. This affair is doing serious damage.

“A man in his position has to bow out gracefully — although that is hardly the right word.

“You just say: ‘I apologise and that’s it, goodbye.’ We’ve had enough crises in F1 over the past few years, we don’t need any more.”

Tony Brooks, one of the senior statesmen of the sport in the UK after finishing second in the 1959 world championship, added: “Max has lost status — cavorting around with prostitutes in that manner is not something to be proud of.

“Sexual perversion is something you don’t judge these days but his is a terribly important position, a prestigious position.

“To me he’s dragging the sport into disrepute and that just can’t be right.”

The four men’s demands follow statements from F1 teams Mercedes, BMW, Honda and Toyota plus several of the major motoring federations throughout the world calling for Mosley to quit.

Max Mosley Sex Scandal May Hurt F1 Racing Financially

Following reports that Formula One Motor Racing Chief Max Mosley may have participated in a sick Nazi orgy with five hookers, Sir Jackie Stewart fears the scandal may harm F1 Racing financially.

F1 great Stewart told the BBC Mosley's conduct could deter new sponsors and lead to existings ones quitting the sport.

"You are talking about multi-national corporations, and what's going on right now could damage them," said the Scot.

"If you were such an organisation and the chairman or CEO was excited about coming into F1, the marketing director might say 'there's a lot of stuff going on at the moment, why don't we hold back until we see how they handle it'.

"The sport is vulnerable when it comes to moral issues. If it's called a 'scandal', that affects F1 as a whole and the perception of it by some cultures and religions."

For those of you not keeping score,  here is the summary.

Last week, The News of the World reported that Max Mosley had been filmed in a concentration camp commandant in a FIVE-HOUR torture chamber video.

Mosley is seen barking orders in German as he WHIPS two hookers dressed in striped uniforms reminiscent of AUSCHWITZ garb while girls in Nazi uniforms look on.   He is also checked for head lice at one point.

He also yells:  "she needs more of ze punishment!" while brandishing a LEATHER STRAP over a brunette's naked bottom.

Then the lashes rain down as Mosley counts them out in German: "Eins! Zwei! Drei! Vier! Fünf! Sechs!" In the midst of one beating, a panting Max Mosley watches one hooker take off her Nazi uniform.

While Mosley has not denied he appears in the video, he claims there were no "Nazi connotations".

Mosley is the son of a one time alleged Nazi sympathizer.

Cristiano Ronaldo Rumors Increase

Real Madrid wants Cristiano Ronaldo and they may be prepared to shell out big bucks to get him, reports the News of the World.

The European giants will take advantage of the FIFA ruling enabling them to sign the Manchester United star in 2010 for the remaining two years of his salary — around £10million.

And that puts pressure on United to complete new contract talks to keep Ronaldo at the club until 2014 and increase his wage to £140,000 a week.

Reports in Spain and Italy are indicating that both Real and Milan will try to trigger the FIFA regulation to snap up the Portuguese winger, who has emerged as the hottest property in the world after his record-breaking season.

Real coach Bernd Schuster said this week that Ronaldo was in their sights, though he admitted that he did not think United would sell him at the moment.

Just two days after Formula One Motor Racing's most powerful man, Max Mosley, was seen around the globe allegedly taking part in a "Nazi Hooker" video the Crown Prince of Bahrain has told him not to show up in his country at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.  Ouch!

Mosley has already stated he would not be attending the Bahrain Grand Prix as he was too busy preparing to sue the News of the World.  That is the publication that featured the video of Mosley allegedly engaged in a sado-masochistic orgy with five prostitutes.

Max Mosley said Tuesday he will remain president of auto racing’s governing body despite calls for him to resign because of his role in a sex scandal.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United club may have beaten Roma Tuesday but the later team has vowed revenge against the football stud they claim "has a big head".

Roma midfielder David Pizarro was fuming with Ronaldo's trickery, suggesting that he was disrespectful.

He raged: "There is no doubt that he has quality but it is also true that he has a big head.

“Some of his little tricks in the middle of the pitch were unnecessary and he needs to show some respect to his opposition.

"You can bet that we will have something to say about it in the return leg.”

Pizarro also believes Roma can still knock United out of the Champions League.

He added: “We played our game and we are disappointed that we weren’t able to make the most of our chances.

“It just went badly even though we created plenty and if we had been able to convert our opportunities we wouldn’t have lost.

“We still believe in our league and Champions League chances – this team will never give up.”

The Italians short-handed, with Juan, Simone Perrotta and Francesco Totti all missing

Roma was currently listed with odds of 67.00 to win the 2008 Champions League outright.  Man United had odds of 2.75 at Sportingbet.com

Police have vowed to crackdown on hooligans following the attack of Everton football ace Phil Neville this weekend.
Police are probing claims by Everton bosses that the 31-year-old defender was punched in the back as he took a throw-in, according to The Sun.

Neville – brother of Man U player Gary – was also said to have been spat on and subjected to vicious verbal abuse.

And a Liverpool spokesman said last night: “If it is proven we will take appropriate action.”

The Reds counterclaimed that their skipper Steven Gerrard was the target of even nastier insults from Everton supporters.

They chanted cruel jibes about the England ace’s one-year-old daughter Lexie.

Formula One Motor Racing Chief Max Mosley Sick Nazi Orgy With Five Hookers

Formula One Motor Racing's most powerful man, Max Mosley, plays a concentration camp commandant in a FIVE-HOUR torture chamber video.

Mosley is seen barking orders in German as he WHIPS two hookers dressed in striped uniforms reminiscent of AUSCHWITZ garb while girls in Nazi uniforms look on.

The shock report comes from News of the World, which claims to have the video (appearing below) of Mosley.

It claims the multi-millionaire son of alleged Adolf Hitler sympathizer, Sir Oswald Mosley, engaged in unthinkable against with the British femme fatales.

Video: Watch F1 boss Max Mosley play Nazi sex games with hookers Warning: This video is not suitable for children.  They should be removed from the room immediately before viewing this video.

Then, head bowed and tied up in chains, he is interrogated by a dominatrix before being chained up and LASHED so hard over a TORTURE BENCH that he WHIMPERS for mercy and has to have a wound dressing put on his backside.

The incident was bound to send shockwaves throughout most of Europe.

The NOTW reports that last month the urbane president of the FIA—Formula One's governing body—hit the headlines when he announced a crackdown on racism in the sport after McLaren ace Lewis Hamilton was abused by Spanish spectators.

But on Friday the only ‘crackdowns' married Mosley was interested in were on bare buttocks...including his own.

Max Mosely currently serving his fourth term as president of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), a non-profit association that represents the interests of motoring organisations and motor car users worldwide. The FIA is also the governing body for Formula One and other international motor sports.

From an early age Mosley was involved in politics; in his teens he arranged social activities for the Union Movement (UM), his father's post-war party, and was later a prospective UM parliamentary candidate. However, the association of his surname with Fascism has stopped him from developing his interest in politics further.

During Mosley’s Presidency of the FIA there have been several controversial events that have often generated criticism and calls for him to resign. Of the criticism aimed at him Mosley has said: "I don’t mind flak – I come from a family where we have had flak all our lives – but I realise some people do. I love reading the blogs when they are being furious about me, it’s very entertaining, and there is the odd one which defends me. But F1 simply cannot divorce itself from the zeitgeist." Mosley and the FIA have been accused on several occasions in recent years by British journalists and Formula One team owners of favouring the Ferrari team through their judgements.  Mosley himself believes that "the line in the UK is – how could you be so beastly to [British team] McLaren? And the line on the continent is – you favour McLaren and [their driver] Hamilton, or you’re trying to make sure a Brit wins the championship."

Beckham Loses Badly

David Beckham was humbled when his LA Galaxy lost its MLS opener Saturday.

They lost 0-4 to Colorado.

The glamor team's new season under Dutch soccer legend Gullit started poorly despite Beckham racing back from midweek England duty to take on the Rapids.

"It's always going to be tough when you have international games," Beckham said. "I felt OK for most of the match, maybe not at my sharpest, but it was overall a tough game for us. We created chances, but didn't put them away."

It was not Beckham, but a lesser known former Manchester United winger Terry Cooke who opened the scoring in the 10th minute for Colorado.

"I'm finding it hard not to criticize some of the decisions tonight but I've just been told I'll be fined if I do," Beckham said. "I don't want that to happen. Referees have a tough job, but some decisions change games, and that's happened tonight."

The Galaxy said the altitude played a part in their sluggish play, and that Gomez's goal deflated them.

"The turning point was the penalty kick," Gullit said. "That caused a little bit of chaos in our organization, and we lost our head a little bit."

Beckham's career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17. During his time there, United won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid in 2003, where he remained for four seasons. In his final season, Real clinched the 2006-07 La Liga chamionship title (Beckham's only major trophy with the club) in the final game of the season on 17 June. In January 2007, it was announced that Beckham would leave Real Madrid and sign a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Beckham's new contract with the Galaxy, effective 1 July 2007, gave him the highest salary of any MLS player in history. He debuted for the team on 21 July in a friendly versus Chelsea at the Home Depot Center, and on 15 August, he had his first start with the team, scoring his first goal in the 2007 SuperLiga semi-final. His first league start then came on 18 August in front of a record crowd at Giants Stadium.

Shaun Murphy, Ding Junhui Odds for China Open Snooker Betting

Murphy v Ding Junhui in this year's China Open featured even odds for Ding Junhui (1/1) and Shaun Murphy was the 3/4 favorite.  (Murphy was at 1.75; Junhui 2.00 at Sportingbet)

Shaun Murphy was the talk of the day after producing the longest frame in snooker history in his 5-3 win over Dave Harold.

The British born 2005 World Snooker Champion is ranked number 3 for the 2007-2008 Snooker season, his highest ever.

During the 2005 tournament, he beat former world champions John Higgins (13-8), Steve Davis (13-4), Peter Ebdon (17-12), and finalist Matthew Stevens (18-16) to win the World Championship.  His run echoed the first championship win of his childhood idol Davis, who also beat three world champions (Alex Higgins, Cliff Thorburn and Terry Griffiths) to reach the final.

The tournament doubled his previous career prize money and his run to the final earned him the nickname Magician. He purchased a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and a house with the proceeds of his win.

Earlier yesterday, Murphy scored a frame lasting 93 minutes, surpassing both previous records for the longest televised frame (Mark Selby v Marco Fu, 2007, Maplin UK Championship, 77min) and longest in professional snooker.

The eighth and final frame saw the players locked in a tactical exchange with only the colors left, including a lengthy exchange on the brown.

"I'm very, very pleased to have won," said world No 3 Murphy. "I'm not flying half way around the world to lose in the first round.

"I was very pleased with how I played in the whole match. My safety play was good, my potting was good and generally if both of those work you win the game.

"Dave is a very good player who plays cagey snooker and it was never going to be over in hour, it was always going to be a slow, hard game. It is hard because most players play more aggressive snooker but we are all here to win and you have to respect everyone."

When questioned about creating history he joked: "It was difficult in the last frame because I needed to go the toilet. I wouldn't have minded if I had lost the frame."

Murphy has never lost to the Chinese wunderkind, Ding Junhui.

The News of the World, which first broke the story, has since taken it down.

The alleged "sex tape" is yet to be found.  Photos purported to have been taken during the trysts appeared on the News of the World site.

Geoff Ogilvy Promising Big Payout for Gamblers

Australia's Geoff Ogilvy and Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez shared the lead on 65 with American Stewart Cink on 66 after the first day of the 2008 World Golf Championships CA Championship.

Ogilvy, as we pointed out yesterday, was listed with 11 to 1 odds to win the Championship at Find betting odds here

Ogilvy, who had a bogey-free round, birdied the first four odd-numbered holes and added another at the eighth to stand five-under at the turn, then added another at the 12th and conquered the 18th for a final birdie.

"I played well, gave myself a lot of chances and I made those chances," he said.

Jimenez opened with an eagle and birdied four of the last five holes, including the 18th, to seize a share of the lead.

"I played well and holed some four-five footers for birdie," said the 44-year-old from Malaga. "When you're hitting it well and holing some putts, you expect to shoot 65."

Australian bookmakers, including Sportingbet, which does maintain a strong presence in that country, stood to get hurt bad by bets placed on Ogilvy.  The good news for Aussie bookies: There were still three days to go and plenty of time for Geoff Ogilvy to fall back; Tiger is right there breathing down everyone else's back; and a lot of the betting down under went on Adam Scott, who was actually the Australian favorite with 10 to 1 odds.

Ogilvy, if he were to win, would pay out $1100 for every $100 bet early on.

Last summer, Irish bookies got hammered when their native son Padraig Harrington, won the British Open with pay out odds that cost the books over $6000 for every $100 wagered.

JP Morgan Tips William Hill to "Outperform" Ladbrokes

JP Morgan has taken a look at the runners and riders in the UK bookmaking field and has tipped William Hill to do better than Ladbrokes.

The broker suggested investors switch from Ladbrokes, which it has downgraded to “neutral” from “overweight”, to William Hill, which it has upgraded to “overweight” from “underweight”.

JPM said the long term outlook for the UK bookmaking industry is flat, with limited new product innovation, continuing cost pressures and the possibility of gaming machine regulations all acting as a brake on growth.

Following Ladbrokes' withdrawal from some higher growth areas the broker said it does not expect its out-performance of William Hill to continue.

“We believe Ladbrokes’ 14% 08 Price/Earnings premium looks unjustified and we expect this valuation gap to close,” the broker said.

JPM has cut its full year 2008 estimates by 15% for William Hill and by 1% for Ladbrokes. The broker believes downside for William Hill should be limited by the 7% dividend yield.

It sees 38% upside for William Hill and has set a price target for 465p, while it estimates a 25% upside for Ladbrokes, with a price target of 345p.

Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy Both Favored to Win 2008 WGC CA Championships Among Australians

Filed under: European Sports Betting News  Betting on Golf

Tiger Woods may be the big favorite to win this year's WGC CA Championships but who said Tiger Woods had to be entered into the equation.  For some, betting on Adam Scott or Goeff Ogilvy offers an excellent opportunity since Sportingbet is allowing bets on which non-American player will win the 2008 WGC CA Championship.  Find betting odds here

Adam Scott pays out US$1000 for every US$100 bet.  Geoff Ogilvy pays out US$1100 for every US$100 bet.  They are the third and fourth world favorites, respectively.  South Africa's Ernie Els comes in as the 7 to 1 favorite along with Indo-Fijian golf superstar Vijay Singh.

To date Adam Scott is one of only three golfers born in the 1980s who have made the top ten in the Official World Golf Rankings, the others being Sergio García and Justin Rose, and thus has one of the most promising careers in men's golf. On January 7, 2007, he reached a career high ranking of third with a second place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Championship.

Scott has higher aspirations beyond that of just being the best golfer outside of Tiger Woods.  He wants to beat him.

"It's a great time to be playing," Adam Scott said. "It's awfully hard to beat him, but he doesn't play every week. I know he's winning all the time, but he doesn't win every week, either."

Then the 27-year-old Australian paused long enough that he couldn't contain a wry smile.

"There's no proof of that," Scott said. "But we'll try to change it this week."

Ogilvy turned professional in May 1998 and he won a European Tour card at that year's Qualifying school. He played on the European Tour in 1999 and 2000, finishing 65th in his first season and improving to 48th in his second. He joined the U.S. based PGA Tour in 2001, and finished in the top 100 in each of his first five seasons. His first professional tournament win came in 2005 at the PGA Tour's Chrysler Classic of Tucson. In February 2006 he beat Davis Love III in the final of the 2006 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Ogilvy won his first major championship at the 2006 U.S. Open, after American Phil Mickelson gave up a two shot lead with three holes to play, becoming the first Australian to win a men's golf major since Steve Elkington at the 1995 PGA Championship. Ogilvy finished his round with a champion's flourish, making improbable pars on each of the last two holes.

"Betting without Tiger Woods in the equation is a great thing," commented Gambling911.com Sports reporter, Don Shapiro.  "It's always assumed he is going to win, but that assumption does not always pay out since Woods wagering usually requires a much bigger risk initially.  With this year's WGC CA Championships, A US$600 bet would be required to win US$500.  Some gamblers would argue that's a steal but Woods is never a 'lock' either and last year demonstrated how golfers with much longer odds like Padraig Harrington and Angel Cabrera ended up paying thousands of dollars on a $100 bet."

In the case of Cabrera, it was well over $6000 at one point and Harrington proved to be the costliest bet of last year at Paddy Power as first reported by Gambling911.com and only recently confirmed by Ireland's largest betting firm.

There are 78 players at this World Golf Championship.

Premiership Owner Joe Lewis Loses Big on Bear Stearns Bust

One of the biggest casualties of the Bear Stearns bust this weekend is Joseph C. Lewis, owner of such big name football clubs as Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and SK Slavia Praha.

On September 10, 2007, he was in the news for paying $860.4 million in an all-cash purchase of a 7 percent stake in Bear Stearns that made him the brokerage firm's largest shareholder.  About $800 million of that was lost on March 16, 2008 when Bear Stearns was purchased in a straight stock swap with JP Morgan Chase in which JP Morgan paid the equivalent of $2.00 a share for Bear Stearns.

Lewis was listed as the 16th richest British person in Sunday Times Rich List 2007.

The Federal Reserve, which cut the discount rate in a coordinated move with its announced backing of the deal Sunday evening, is taking the extraordinary step of providing special financing in connection with this transaction.

The Fed has agreed to provide financing of up to $30 billion of less-liquid assets held by Bear Stearns (BSC). Roughly $20 billion of that funding will back mortgage securities.

J.P. Morgan (JPM) will exchange 0.05473 of a share of common stock for one share of Bear Stearns. Both boards have approved the transaction.

Rugby Star Danny Cipriani Drops F-Bomb on Live TV....In Front of Millions

Audiences gasped as Rugby star Danny Cipriani was caught up in yet another controversy.  It seems he used the F-Word live in an interview after England's victory over Ireland.

As the 20-year-old praised England's eight-man pack of forwards, he referred to their numbers, saying: "It's the f***ing one to eight who deserve the man of the match."

The player added immediately: "I can't believe I've just sworn on live TV."

The blunder was a dark cloud over Danny's otherwise dream debut.

He notched up 18 points with three conversions and four penalties.

The BBC said: "While we make every effort to avoid broadcasting bad language, this was a live interview and occasionally interviewees get caught up in the excitement."

His starting debut for England was due to be realised when he was picked at full-back for the game against Scotland on 8 March 2008.   However, two days before Cipriani was to make his full England debut, he was axed from the squad due to "inappropriate behaviour", believed to relate to a late night visit to a London nightclub.  He started against Ireland on 15 March 2008,which England won 33-10, replacing Jonny Wilkinson at fly-half. He had a particularly successful match, converting all of his goal kicks and controlling the game well.

Odds to Win 2008 Champions League: Barcelona The Team to Watch

Sportingbet has made Barcelona the team to beat with odds to win the 2008 Champions League set at 14/5.  That's a €280 win for every €100 bet.

Patrick Barclay of the Telegraph likes these odds.

This time I fancy Barcelona to be the ones standing alone against the Premier League. The outcome of none of the quarter-finals can be taken for granted, but Barcelona should be too creative for Schalke, United too fast for Roma and Chelsea just too persistent for the dark horses of Fenerbahce.

Barclay also believes that Arsenal should be seen as favorites to win the 2008 Champions League.  They had odds set at 5/1

Arsenal must be regarded as favourites. Even the fact that the second leg is at Anfield, where Chelsea have twice perished in semi-finals, will scarcely daunt Cesc Fabregas and company and those of their fans whose memories go back 19 years; it was at Anfield that George Graham's Arsenal caused the greatest denouement since competition for the English title started, Michael Thomas scoring the decisive goal in the 94th minute.

If Arsenal were to qualify for a semi with Chelsea, I would again fancy them, for all the West London club's burning desire for the extra European dimension Arsenal acquired through reaching a final against Barcelona two seasons ago which they long threatened to win despite Jens Lehmann's dismissal. Teams led by Arsene Wenger have a habit of bouncing back and, if they return to the final, Arsenal might well be granted a rematch with the Catalan institution managed by Frank Rijkaard - at least for the time being.

Chelsea and Man United were both listed with 7/2 odds of winning the 2008 Champions League.
