It should probably come as no surprise that last year's winner of the British Open is this year's European Group favorite to win the 2008 US Masters.  Padraig Harrington had European Group winner betting odds set at 5.00 at Sportingbet.com, proudly accepting the Euro but does not accept US customers.  Those living in the US can view betting odds for the 2008 US Masters here

Bookmaker.com has separated the Europeans into two groups: European and UK/Ireland so that Harrington is actually listed with near even or +150 odds - paying US$150 for every US$100 bet.  Harrington pays €400 for every €100 bet at Sportingbet.  Justin Rose pays €500; Luke Donald pays €850. 

While Bookmaker.com allows for two winners with the split, Sportingbet offers the best payout odds for the group as a whole. 

Last year, Harrington's British Open win proved to be the most crushing loss for Ireland's largest bookmaker, Paddy Power.
