For months, the biggest national election of 2022 looked set to be a mismatch, but as we enter the final week leading up to the French Presidential Election, the odds are rapidly tightening.

Over the majority of the last year, our French Election odds have heavily favored incumbent Emmanuel Macron. However, in recent days Marine Le Pen’s odds have been more than cut in half, dropping from +1000 to be elected to currently +360.

The odds suggest “Round 2” of the 2017 runoff will occur again between Macron and Le Pen. The victor emerged with a massive 32% margin in victory in the first runoff, but this year is sure to be much tighter. The latest polls have the gap at just 3%.
