He's Back!  Doyle Brunson Returns to Gambling911.com and Back to the US

One of the best online poker rooms pre-UIGEA was Doyles Room.  But the post UIGEA time for Doyle Brunson has been tough going for the better part of 2007.

The dreaded UIGEA was a US online poker prohibition that came to fruition in October 2006 which required banking institutions to closely monitor such transactions, something they (the banks) insists is impossible to do at this juncture in time.  While the vast majority of private online poker rooms insisted they were not violating the new law, publicly traded and European Internet poker rooms did not want to take any chances (having to answer to their shareholders).  All of them pulled and, while Doyles Room was a private company, the network it operated from (Tribecca Tables) was a European group that decided months after the UIGEA's passing that it no longer wanted to operate in the USA.   For Doyles Room, that meant they were at the mercy of this network until they could somehow find a means of moving elsewhere.  And for a while there it looked as if Doyle Brunson (the man) was not the only one on life support.  His online poker room appeared to be as well now.

Eventually they were able to move forward to another network, but not without a huge cost to their business.  Doyles Room has moved to the well regarded and long established Microgaming while Tribeca Tables appears to be withering away (Doyles had been its flagship brand).

In an effort to re-establish itself, Doyles Room has come back to the Gambling911.com family.

"Doyle Brunson is one of the most respected names in poker today and we are thrilled to have him back, mostly so that we can poke fun at the old coot," voiced Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of Gambling911.com.

"Glad to be back," said Doyle Brunson via his sexy nurse.
