Demorrio Williams
Lisa Perry's
Football Insider column looks at Demorrio Williams' impact on the
Atlanta Falcons
ACTION-ACTION, WE WANT ACTION! Well, I've got your
action right here! If you're looking to watch some
new "playmakers" of the game, look no further. My
first new and exciting player for you is Demorrio
Williams of the Atlanta Falcons.
He's an emerging star
that can plow like a monster, run like the wind, and
eat you up and spit you back out in the matter of
seconds and start all over again! You might ask
yourself if he could possibly be Super Man. The
answer to that is NO. He is Super Morrio! He's
number 51. He's a 6 foot 232 pound linebacker with
only 2 years of NFL experience.
With that said, he's
not the biggest guy out there. For Williams, weight
is not a factor. The factor for him is tackling
ability, speed, mobility, and smarts. He seems to
find a way to be in the right place at the right
time!
He can move and knows
how to use his body to take guys down. He's
impressive and has great athleticism. Williams
tackles from every angle. With the ability that he
can bend anyway to make a tackle, he's definitely
Gumby in my book! The more I watch him, makes me
think "Super Morrio" might have a screen detector
planted in his body. He is always able to sniff out
the rushers. It's kind of like a dog can always
find his bone!
I believe Williams has
a huge impact on the opponent's game plan because of
his excellent play ability. He has exceptional
speed to stop the NFL's top playmakers. Watching
his bulldozing hits hurts "my" head! He's a train
wreck waiting to happen!
With the superb
attendance, drive and commitment day in and day out,
and the true loyalty to the Falcons organization, it
will be no surprise to me someday seeing #51 playing
in Hawaii year after year in the Pro Bowl! The 2
year veteran has the desire and determination to
become one of the best in the league. He's a great
addition to the Falcon's defense! DEMORRIO
WILLIAMS....remember that name!
