Del Lago’s sports betting lounge will be the fourth to open in Upstate New York this summer.

The sports book will feature a 6,000-square-foot lounge with 23 self-serve betting kiosks and cashier stations, 1,000 square feet of LED videoscreens, including 16 TV sets, and a full service bar.  There are also odds boards and a scrolling ticker showing live scores, stats, injury news and additional player information.

The celebrity guest for the grand opening is former Syracuse University and NFL football star Donovan McNabb.

There will be no mobile betting at this time in New York State.  Those placing wagers must be 21 years or older.  Bets on state schools such as the Syracuse Orange and Buffalo Bulls will be prohibited.

Del Lago’s sportsbook opening leaves only Resorts World Catskills without an open sports betting lounge among the non Indian casinos.

The Oneida Indian Nation has already opened sportsbooks at two of its casinos: Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, Madison County, and plans to open a third at Yellow Brick Road casino in Chittenango later this year.

The Akwesasne Mohawk plans to open a sportsbook at its casino near Hogansburg in northern New York later this year.

The Seneca Nation has yet to indicate whether they will open sportsbooks in their casinos, with locations in Western New York: Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Salamanca.
