Poker Pro Shannon Elizabeth Pays $20 for Every $1 Bet if She Wins Dancing With the Stars

Oddsmakers do not believe celebrity poker player and American Pie sweetheart Shannon Elizabeth can survive Dancing With the Stars.  Gambling911.com's call to action is to "call in and place your votes for Shannon".

"We want her to win and the poker community much join forces to show we as a cohesive community have the power," declared Gambling911.com Senior Editor, Payton O'Brien.

Right now the industry is fighting to have poker prohibition lifted thanks to the bipartisan efforts by Congressmen Barney Frank (D) and Ron Paul (R)

Thus far, Shannon Elizabeth has failed to make the cut as easily as her competition that includes Kristi Yamaguchi, the -125 favorite to win and Jason Taylor at +125 odds.

Shannon's luck at the poker table hasn't necessarily translated into success on Dancing With the Stars even though some might argue she is holding her own.  But mishaps continue to plague the young beauty and those around her.  Dance partner Derek Hough took to the floor with her on Monday, just hours after he was treated in the hospital for food poisoning.

The professional dancer fell ill after drinking a protein shake. He was treated by medics and recovered in time to samba with Elizabeth.

We can only hope and pray that Shannon does not fall victim to the dreaded Dancing With the Stars Curse, which appears to be rearing its ugly head once again this season.

Dancing With the Stars Results: Who Got Voted Off April 8?

Dancing With the Stars results are in, So who got voted off the April 8 show?

There were a few tense moments with poker sensation Shannon Elizabeth not being safe until the very end of the show.

Precilla was in the bottom two.  Shannon was safe.  Adam was in the bottom two.  Marissa was safe.

Ultimately it was Adam Carolla who got voted off.

Adam is an American comedian, comedy writer, radio personality, television personality and actor. Carolla achieved fame for several broadcast stints: Co-host of the radio show Loveline, from 1995 to 2005 (and its television incarnation on MTV from 1996 to 2000); co-creator and co-star of the television program The Man Show (1999-2004); co-creator and performer on the television program Crank Yankers (2002-present).

Last place finisher Adam Carolla pedaled across the dance floor on a unicycle as part of his paso doble.

"I don't know, I think he should have lost a point or two for that, buddy," said Mario.

"If I lost a point or two, I would owe them points next week," responded Carolla.

Carolla can only hope for his following to have come through to keep him on another week.

Priscilla Presley found herself near the bottom after being penalized for lifting her legs off the ground.

"But it felt so good in the air. I went, 'Oh, this is really nice. I don't want to put my foot down.' It felt good to slide across that floor," said Presley.

Shannon Elizabeth Continues to Excel on Dancing With the Stars

Celebrity poker pro, American Pie cutie and now Dancing With the Stars sensation, Shannon Elizabeth, keeps on shining and was likely to move onto the next round after Tuesday night's results show.

Shannon Elizabeth and her partner Derek Hough scored two 9s and a 10 from head judge Len Goodman, who called their dance the best of the night.

"Well, I'd like to thank him for having temporary insanity, because it definitely helped us out," said Elizabeth.

Lovable poker pro and American Pie hottie Shannon Elizabeth makes it through another week of Dancing With the Stars.  But Steve Guttenberg at 15 - 1 odds of winning wasn't so lucky.  Guttenberg was voted off the show Tuesday night.

"Steve's mango will live forever in our hearts!" said one fan on the Dancing With the Stars posting forum.

Shannon Elizabeth is a huge favorite among Gambling911.com readers as the most popular celebrity poker player.

Sadly, Elizabeth's dancing partner has been hospitalized in what may be a spooky expansion of the "Dancing With the Stars Curse" that took affect last season.

E! News has learned that pro hoofer Derek Hough was taken away from the set by ambulance following a neck injury Tuesday.

An ABC rep confirms that Hough was rehearsing a routine with his sister Julianne and fellow Dancing pro Mark Ballas when he suffered the injury.

Click Here! The network says he was taken away on a stretcher as a precaution and sent to a nearby hospital for tests, but he appears to have only sustained a strained neck.

The 22-year-old Hough, in his second season on Dancing with the Stars, was not available to dance as part of the professionals' showcase on Tuesday night's elimination show. However, he is expected back for next Monday's dance-off round.

Bodog Life: Poker Pro Shannon Elizabeth a "Loser"

Oddsmakers at the popular online gambling and entertainment website, Bodog Life, have essentially given up on the big name poker playing celeb, Shannon Elizabeth, who is part of this season's Dancing With the Stars ensemble, despite rave reviews.

At 18-1 odds, Bodog is basically saying "Shannon can't win".

Elizabeth was widely expected to get far in the competition thanks to her loyal - and some might say horny - fan base.  Before becoming a poker legend, Ms. Elizabeth starred in the sex flick, American Pie.

Elizabeth, who describes poker as her "second career" has been called "one of the leading celebrity poker players." She visits Las Vegas up to three times each month to participate in poker games with the top players of the United States. Elizabeth played in the Main Event of the 2005 World Series of Poker and won a special tournament celebrating the opening of a new poker room at Caesars Palace hotel in January 2006, beating out 83 celebrities and poker professionals to win $55,000. She has also cashed four times in the World Series of Poker in 2006 and 2007, but again busted out of the Main Event early. In 2007, she advanced to the semi-finals of the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship in a field consisting of the top poker professionals before losing to eventual champion Paul Wasicka. Among the four opponents she defeated were three World Series of Poker multiple bracelet winners: Jeff Madsen, Barry Greenstein, and Humberto Brenes.

Bodog Founder, Calvin Ayre, once tried to romance Ms. Elizabeth.  The two remain friends but Bodog is yet to secure a major contract to have Elizabeth come on board as part of "Team Bodog".  She would be joining sultry male musician (and star of his own sex flick) David Williams.

It is Kristi Yamaguchi who's the Gambling911.com economic stimulus pick for those betting on Dancing With the Stars.  a $4 bet would still pay out $9 at Bodog Life.

Dancing With the Stars results were coming in Tuesday night.  It's the first results night of the new season.  This is Carrie Stroup pulling a double here on Gambling911.com tonight bringing you both the American Idol results and the Dancing With the Stars results.

So which of the two couples would be voted off first?

Well the favorites to stay on were Kristi Yamaguchi and Mario, who turned in strong performances again on Monday night, giving them the top two spots heading into Tuesday night's double-elimination, virtually ensuring that they will be around to dance again.

Priscilla Presley continues to be the most surprising dancer. She turned in a solid performance in the mambo.

Shannon Elizabeth did quite nicely in the quick step, earning her a score of 24.

Great...Jason Taylor stays.  Mario stays.

Next couple saved.  Adam and Julianne.  Penn Jillette and Kim were voted off first.

The woman going home: Monica Seles

The Dancing With the Stars Results Show will air Tuesday night on ABC.  It's the first of the new season.  One of the dancers least likely to be voted off is celebrity poker pro, Shannon Elizabeth.

The leaders got stronger and those in danger seemed to get weaker in week two of competition on "Dancing With The Stars."

Kristi Yamaguchi and Mario turned in strong performances again on Monday night, giving them the top two spots heading into Tuesday night's double-elimination, virtually ensuring that they will be around to dance again.

Priscilla Presley continues to be the most surprising dancer. She turned in a solid performance in the mambo.

Shannon Elizabeth did quite nicely in the quick step, earning her a score of 24.

Comedian/magician Penn Jillette was not too impressive with his quick step and tripped while walking up the stairs at the end of his dance.

Adam Carolla didn't look to good with his mambo.

Marissa Jaret Winokur and Marlee Matlin will likely return for another week. Winokur toned it down a bit for her quick step, while Matlin turned in a pretty good performance.

Cristian de la Fuente also did well with the quck step.

Jason Taylor slinked onto the floor with a tremendous mambo that earned him a 27 score.

Steve Guttenberg opened the night with a rough routine and low scores, but he makes up for it with charm.

One man and one woman will be sent home on Tuesday night.

Regarding Shannon:

"Dancing with the Stars' Shannon Elizabeth had yet another strong performance on Dancing with the Stars," pointed out the poker blog WickedChops.  "While Elizabeth scored three 8's from the judges (which according to our trusty calculator is a 24), she scored three 2's from the Entities on our "showing leg" chart.  Last week, Shannon was all leg, which was awesome because she's got two really, really nice legs (unlike Heather Mills, who only has one).   This week though, they were all covered up. Wtf? Did a bear try to eat one of them? Were they caught under a lawnmower? When you have a body part that impressive, you show it off. All the time. There's a reason why we seldom wear pants, you know."

Early betting odds on who would win this season's installment of Dancing With the Stars were available at Sportsbook.com.

Adam Carolla 10 - 1

Cristian de la Fuente 8 - 1

Jason Taylor 8 - 1

Kristi Yamaguchi 2 - 1

Mario 5 - 2

Marissa Jaret Winokur 15 - 1

Marlee Matlin 8 - 1

Monica Seles 6 - 1

Penn Jillette 10 - 1

Priscilla Presley 8 - 1

Shannon Elizabeth 6 - 1

Steve Guttenberg 15 - 1

Poker Blog Claims Spitzer Call Girl Ashley Alexandra Dupre Has "Man Hands"

Leave it to the boys at WickedChopsPoker to do a little "hand analyses" and come up with the theory that maybe....just maybe...disgraced former New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer call girl Ashley Alaxendra Dupre may have been an Aston Alexander Dupre - i.e. a man.

WCP points to photos that appeared in US Weekly of Ms. Dupre (and yes, we will stick to the "Ms"):

"Just look at those man hands on her. They make ours look dainty. Especially since we just had hot cream manicures done."

You know what they say about guys with big feet!

But the so-called "man hands" theory hasn't quite caught on.

"Anyway, so she probably ain't a dude but the online poker-hating, hooker-loving Spitzer should get a refund for the $4300 he spent on b****** "Kristen" this past February in Washington DC hotel, because the girl is about as far away from being a 5-diamonds escort as Dancing with the Stars' Shannon Elizabeth is away from ever winning an Oscar."

Oh and while we are on the topic of Shannon Elizabeth.  We learn her faith tomorrow (Tuesday night) as the first Dancing With the Stars results show of the new season arrives.

Elizabeth, a favorite of Gambling911.com readers since she doubles as a professional poker player, was described as a "ball of nerves" during her debut.  Hairdressers on the set were calling her Shannon ElizaBITCH.

Elizabeth was currently among the favorites at 6-1.  See all the Dancing With the Stars betting odds here

Dancing With The Stars Shannon Elizabeth Would Not Make a Good Wife

You can forget Gambling911.com's feeble-minded attempts to marry off billionaire Calvin Ayre to Dancing With the Stars debutante and poker pro Shannon Elizabeth.

Shannon Elizabeth could turn into Shannon Elizabitch, according to TMZ.com, which reports that Shannon has been out of control on the set of this season's Dancing With the Stars....or at least in the dressing room.

The makeup department is on rouge alert. They think she's got incredible diva potential and she's already shunned the makeup artist assigned to her, much the same way it is said she "shunned" Ayre's advances way back when.

On the other side of the rhinestone onesie, Marlee Matlin is the crew fav. She even brings her own hair stuff so the makeup people are loving her.  And so what if she can't hear anything they are say and speaks in signs!

Dancing With The Stars Poker Beauty Forces Ayre to Banish Employees to Indian Reservation

By most accounts, the Kahnawake Indian Reserve far outside of Montreal, Quebec is cold, dreary and - no offense to the Kahnawakes - a little boring.  A testament to this observation is that Bodog Founder Calvin Ayre chooses not to live there but he is forcing a large number of employees to move there....all because of a Dancing With The Stars poker beauty, Shannon Elizabeth.

Ayre, we have learned, is livid over the fact that Ms. Elizabeth has become such a big star and her appearance on ABC's monster hit, Dancing With the Stars, only serves to reinforce this fact.  Of course, he wishes his close celebrity friend all the best but remains despondent over the fact that his key poker staff failed to close the deal - that being to have Shannon Elizabeth represent Bodog Poker.  Shannon's asking price was not immediately known, though she has previously appeared on a Bodog produced poker program.

When told they would have to move to Kahnawake, many of Ayre's long time employees instead elected to resign.

Dancing With The Stars Season 6 betting odds have been posted with Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi the early 2-1 favorite.  No surprises here.  Yamaguchi competing on Dancing With The Stars is akin to having Mariah Carey compete on American Idol in  our opinion.  But, hey, anything can happen.  There is still great value in 2-1 odds we should emphasize.

Singing sensation Mario is listed among the other favorites at 5-2 odds.  Shannon Elizabeth comes in with 6-1 odds as does Monica Seles.

Steve Guttenberg is a big 15 - 1 underdog along with Marissa Jaret Winokur.  Both would pay out $1500 for every $100 bet.

The 6th season of the highly rated and now heavily bet on television show begins March 17, 2008.  Betting odds available from Sportsbook.com here
