Dallas Cowboys Odds to Win NFC and 2008 Super Bowl

The Dallas Cowboys are being viewed as a team that can win the NFC and ultimately the 2008 Super Bowl, but they are also sitting under the radar.  What this means to sports bettors is tons of excellent value.

Beginning with the NFC East division odds, the Cowboys are just shy of 2 to 1 favorites - tied with the Philadelphia Eagles.  A $100 bet would pay out $175 at BetUS.com at press time August 4, 2007.

The value gets all the more better as we discover the Dallas Cowboys sitting with 6 to 1 odds (+600) of winning the NFC championship.  That's a payout of $600 for every $100 bet.

And the Cowboys odds of winning the 2008 Super Bowl?  The payout would be 15 to 1 (or +1500) with $1500 won for every $100 bet.

The line for regular season wins was set at OVER/UNDER 9 games with the OVER being a very slight favorite.  Open an Online Betting Account Here

Who Can Forget Tony Romo's Disastrous Move Last Season?

The change at quarterback re-ignited the passing game last year as Tony Romo started to connect with Owens, Terry Glenn, and Jason Witten much more often, according to Dave Golokhov of Sports Central.

"Owens had 22 receptions for 277 yards in the five games prior to the Giants game and had 41 catches and 540 in the six games after, once Romo took over.

"More importantly, Romo's mobility and quicker release took a load off of the offensive line."

Golokhov feels that Romo showed enough last season to become a franchise quarterback despite that killer bobble last season that abruptly ended the Cowboys chances of obtaining glory.

"On defense, the Cowboys added first-round pick Anthony Spencer, who could be another DeMarcus Ware. If you combine that fact, along with the possible return of Greg Ellis and the hiring of defensive guru Wade Phillips, you can assume that the front seven will be a terror.

"The remaining parts of the Cowboys' front seven really jelled last season and there is no question that they were stout against the run."
