Colts Win 2007 Super Bowl
The Indianapolis Colts have won the 2007 Super Bowl. It's been a long time coming for Peyton Manning who finally walks off with a Super Bowl ring. This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Sports911.com
This was a fairly tight game throughout despite the Colts seemingly having the edge throughout much of the game.
The Colts win the 2007 Super Bowl after starting off the game 10 points down. Chicago scored a touchdown within the first minute. No team has ever come back to win a Super Bowl after trailing at the start by 10 points or more.
Confidence in the Colts dried up after the midway point of the regular season with a few bad losses against some otherwise bad teams (among them the Houston Texans).
Early on the Colts were a 3 to 1 favorite. By mid season gamblers could get them at 7 to 1 odds for a US$700 payout on every US$100 bet. Heading into the Playoffs, the Colts were listed with 10/1 odds paying US$1000 for every US$100 bet.
Indianapolis was the worst team against the run heading into the Playoffs. This will mark the first time a team ranked the worst against the run has gone on to win a Super Bowl.
The Colts entered the Playoffs as a wild card team.
Early in January the Bears were listed with odds of 9/2 to win the 2007 Super Bowl. They had double digit odds entering the season and offered decent odds throughout since most experts believed the AFC to be far more superior a conference and there were questions about the Bears quarterback situation until the very end.
Football fans, it's never too early to lay down some small money on the 2008 Super Bowl. With exceptional payout odds, the risk is nominal for a rather lucrative reward depending on which team wins it.
