College Football betting online from LA, San Diego and the rest of Southern California is available from any number of top internationally-licensed online sportsbooks.

When Will California-Based Businesses Begin Offering Sports Betting?

The state of California will not be offering sports betting from casinos in LA, San Diego and elsewhere for this College Football season and likely not in 2019 either.  While the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled to overturn decades long prohibition, California lawmakers must amend current laws and this will require input from the tribes that run the state casinos.  Conflicts run rampant in the sector so Gambling911.com is anticipating delays.

ESPN.com noted:

In July 2017, Assembly member Adam Gray introduced a constitutional amendment that would allow the state "to permit sports wagering only if a change in federal law occurs." The proposed amendment specifically referred to PASPA. "All other gaming activities in California are subject to regulations that ensure the safety of consumers," Gray said in a press release. "Sports wagering should be treated no differently." Within hours of the Supreme Court ruling, Gray reiterated his desire to further a pro-sports betting constitutional amendment. California also has a pending voter referendum that could legalize sports betting.
