Chuck Liddell Fight not the Only one on UFC 71 Card

The last couple of UFC bouts have been shockers with the underdog winning and paying out big, but with the Chuck Liddell fight where the UFC powerhouse will take on Quinton Jackson, Liddell is only a slight favorite.

"Chuck Liddell is seen as a much bigger favorite in this fight," explains Dan Shapiro of Sports911.com.  "But because Jackson has beaten him in the past, the odds do not really reflect this."

In fact, Liddell is only a -205 favorite, a far cry from some of the -600 and up favorites we witnessed in past bouts.

When betting on the UFC, one should not focus solely on the marquee matchup.

Houston Alexander takes on -550 favored Keith Jardine for example.  A win by Alexander would pay out $400 for every $100 bet.  Houston is a relative newcomer to the UFC.

Jardine is no joke though.  He recently told BuddyTV.com "I’ve been training like I’m fighting for the title because it’s my goal to do that eventually and I’m definitely…I ain’t taking him lightly and man I’m just finishing up my camp, its been brutal, it almost feels as if its tougher than my camp before this."
