Anna Nicole Smith collapsed and was administered CPR at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood Florida Thursday.  She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.  

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated on the scene and a Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when they arrived.

The scene at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida was described as "chaotic".

A prince out drinking with the Queen of Pop? That's exactly what happened the other night as Prince Harry and Madonna went for a night on the town.  Oh, and they brought along Guy Richie for those of you wondering.

The unlikely threesome discussed Madonna and Guy’s adoption of African baby David Banda last October while knocking back £100-a-pop champagne Treasure Chest cocktails, according to a report featured in the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old prince reportedly had tears in his eyes as he spoke to Ritchie at length about the orphans he has befriended in Africa. Harry has founded his own charity, called Sentebale, to help millions of Aids orphans in Lesotho.

"It certainly looked as if the singer had enjoyed her night out with the prince as she emerged looking the worse for wear in the early hours of this morning.

"At one stage her head was rolled back, eyes closed and her hair draped over her face. Ever the gentleman, Guy certainly clutched her tightly to make sure she didn’t take a tumble as they emerged from the club in the early hours. Earlier in the evening the couple enjoyed a meal in the recently reopened Scott’s fish restaurant in Mayfair — a favourite A-list haunt.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry's girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was seen partying in South Beach this past weekend for the Super Bowl (she missed the best party of all though see here)

Chelsy hit a number of Miami's hottest nightspots wearing zebra cowboy boots and a mini-skirt.

The Zimbabwe-born beauty told other revelers, "It's just so much fun on South Beach. I'm here for the Super Bowl, why else?"

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Chelsy looked relaxed and she was partying hard. She had very little make-up on but she still looked great."

Mick Jagger's daughter, Jade, was so disruptive on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York that she had to be reprimanded by the First Class flight crew.

Those around her paying upwards of $4000 a seat were completely taken aback by Jade's heavy drinking "to calm her nerves" and the bar fracas that accompanied it.

Virgin Atlantic said: "A female passenger was behaving in a disruptive manner but it was resolved and there was no threat to safety."

A spokesman for the part-time model and jewellery designer said: "Jade regrets causing disruption."

"They helped themselves to bottles from the bar and generally disrupted the entire first-class section," a passenger told the Daily Mail.

"One of the group took the wine from another passenger's dinner tray and drank it - then said, "Your wine sucks anyway".

"At one point the captain even had to come out."

The passenger also claimed that on landing 'Jade was kicking the flight attendant from under her duvet to stop the flight attendants putting her tray away because her feet were on it'.

Miss Jagger - whose mother Bianca was Sir Mick's first wife - has become notorious for her outrageous antics in recent years, The Daily Mail states.

"The mother of two went on a series of dates with American rapper Pharrell Williams, who then spoke about their sexual encounters in a kiss-and tell interview.

"And she has twice been photographed naked and having sex on a beach near her Ibiza home with her boyfriend, DJ Dan Williams."

Carrie Underwood fans don't want to believe it as they feel she is too sweet a girl to be dating someone like Dallas quarterback on a spiral downfall, Tony Romo.  But Tony Romo seems sweet enough too, so what's all the fuss about?

Carrie Underwood has denied the two are seeing each other despite being spotted by a camera crew during a Dallas Cowboys party.  Romo's publicist even released a statement to that effect and Carrie supposedly confirmed it.

Britney Spears’s friends believe that the baby-popping singer may be pregnant again, according to In Touch Weekly.

The friends’ concern may help to explain why Spears seems not to have lost any of her pregnancy weight and why she has been getting sick lately.

On Wednesday morning's "The View" Barbara Walters uncharacteristically called Donald Trump a "pathetic man" and now Trump is firing back.

Access Hollywood reports that The businessman fired (no pun intended) off an angry letter following this morning's "The View," which saw Barbara Walters dub him a "poor, pathetic man."

"Barbara Walters has taken the low road for the sake of her show rather than the sake of her morality," he wrote in an open statement, sent out not long after "The View's" East Coast broadcast. "She lied with star Jones and now she has chosen to lie again."

In interviews since the end of December, Trump has claimed Walters told him she not only was not a fan of Rosie, she hinted O'Donnell would not be on "The View" much longer.

Walters refuted this on "The View," and today went one step further, banding with Rosie as the two exchanged barbs (again, no pun intended) over the man and a high five.

"Barbara has become a sad figurehead dominated by a third-rate comedian and I now wish she had not recently chosen me as one of the "10 Most Fascinating People," his letter states.

Trump continues on in his response to address the issue of ratings for his show "The Apprentice," which "The View" suggested was having ratings trouble. He also suggested his appearance on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and he being a point of topic on "The View" have upped their ratings.

Bodog.com (see website here) released odds Tuesday on whether Rosie O'Donnell will remain on The View through the entire year of 2007.

Online gambling website Bodog.com (see website here) was quick to release betting odds on whether Rosie O'Donnell would be leaving The View.  Odds have been posted surprisingly at -130 on the "NO".  In other words you would have to pay $13 to win $10 plus your initial $13 bet if she stays on.....and this bet option is specific to the end of 2007 (meaning as of this date - January 10, 2007 - you have almost an entire year for Rosie to either leave willingly or get thrown off by Barbara).  A bet on "YES" incidentally pays even odds.

Trump brought the much publicized feud to a whole new level citing a report in the New York Post that Rosie O'Donnell had called The View producer and co-host Barbara Walters "a [expletive] liar"

I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your wife -- you needed the rest.

An article in today's New York Post, indicates that you blew up at Barbara Walters for being a 'liar.' Actually, I don't blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it. She very much wanted me to go on the show as soon as she got back so that she could 'patch things up' (I said no). To be exact, she said that 'working with her is like living in hell' and, more pointedly, 'Donald never get into the mud with pigs' and, 'don't worry, she won't be here for long.' Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it. Perhaps that's why her initial statement was so mild!

In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how 'Rosie was doing,' 'she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said 'Donald, do you have to ruin my meal.'

In any event, you have a good reason to be angry. Please give my warmest regards to Kelly [sic]!

P.S. I was surprised that you let your spat with Barbara get into the newspapers, but, as I have always said and as you proved with Rosie, the magazine, you are very self destructive. You must work on this for your own good!
 

As sensitive as Barbara Walters might be (witness the Star Jones incident), she's probably a pretty astute business woman.  Love her or hate her, Rosie O'Donnell has managed to bring The View its biggest ratings since its inception 10 years ago (virtually unheard of in television today).

The best bet is that Barbara will silence Rosie herself and do a little closing show Jerry-Springer-like lecture, asking that the feud come to an end and that The View will have no role in it.

We trust that many who might not normally tune into the view will do so this Thursday morning.  This all girl gabfest has certainly grabbed our attention.  It's on ABC at 9 pm EST but check your local listings just in case.

Fox News is reporting that Rosie O'Donnell allegedly accused Barbara Walters of being "a [expletive] liar" in ABC Studios' hair and makeup room Monday morning, according to The New York Post's Page Six gossip section.

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are breaking up - at least that is what the tabloids are reporting.

According to the Star, the couple went their separate ways around a month ago and so spent Christmas apart: Justin with his family in Tennessee while Cameron went skiing with friends in Vail, Colorado.

The split rumours have been further compounded after Cameron failed to appear at the premiere of Justin’s new film Alpha Dog in Los Angeles yesterday.

Here we are just four days into the new year and we have a potential first celebrity split on our hands.  Irish online gambling site PaddyPower.com has been offering betting odds on which celebrity couple would be the first to breakup in 2007.

Kate Moss through her spokesperson has denied reports that she married troubled boyfriend Pete Doherty in Thailand this weekend.  Already, the British tabs have been scurrying to find out if the two will marry a second time in London. 

Stuart Higgins said Moss, 32, was vacationing in Thailand, but hadn't married Doherty, frontman for Babyshambles.

"There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday," Higgins said.

British newspapers reported that Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Neither the Sun nor the Daily Mirror provided sources for the information. The Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss as saying the ceremony was an expression of the couple's mutual devotion.

Higgins called the reports "entirely false."

The troubled couple has been the toast of British tabloids over the past year.....of course, Kate Moss and Pete Doherty have given a whole new meaning to the word "toast".  Moss' cocaine addiction surfaced while Pete Doherty was involved in various altercations, too numerous to list here.

Irish bookmaker PaddyPower (see website here) actually released betting odds on how many arrests Doherty will have in 2007, with "1" a surprising 3-1 favorite paying out US$3 for every US$1 bet.  More than 5 - probably the best value based on past history - would pay out US$4 for every US$1 bet. 

The best bet perhaps is "4" arrests.  This one pays US$9 for every US$1 bet.  Not too shabby. 

Just last month, Doherty was involved in an altercation with actor Mark Blanco, who later that night died in suspicious circumstances, allegedly falling from a high balcony. Police have cleared him of any involvement.

In October, Pete Doherty was left covered in blood from a head wound after fighting with a papparazi photographer on the last leg of a concert tour in Italy.

For her part, Kate Moss has remained relatively "clean" following a "cocaine scandal" that had the tabloids dubbing her "Cocaine Kate". 

And the celebrity mom - for whom we're starting to forget what made her a celebrity in the first place - really finished off with a bang this year.  Those pantyless crotch shots had the world talking for weeks during the month of December.

But Britney has opened 2007 with a wimper according to news reports circulating that she fell asleep around 1:00 am after the stroke of midnight following New Year's Eve revelry. 

"By about one o'clock, she was just done, so we took her out," Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, told The Associated Press Monday. "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

Rudolph denied reports circulating on gossip Web sites that Spears, 25, collapsed shortly after midnight and was carried out by bodyguards. The star was hired to host the festivities at Ceasars Palace's PURE nightclub.

Rudolph said Spears walked out of the club and did not seek medical attention.

"There is nothing out of the ordinary here," he said.

Vegaspopular Spears had been seated on a VIP tented-cabana bed overlooking the dance floor at 12:50AM talking with one of her male dancers. She intimated she wanted to leave and as she stood up, "she went into a dead faint and just fell right to the floor."

Her group pulled her up and lay her on the bed at the same time as her personal security asked for the club to provide at least 10 other security managers to "get her out as quickly as possible." They surrounded the stricken pop star in an attempt to screen her from all observers and the new years revelers on the crowded dance floor.

One woman in the Spears' entourage yelled, "Make sure nobody gets any photos. No photos anywhere."

Of course, that's like telling a kid in a candy shop to stay clear of all the sweets.

The Dallas Cowboys have chosen the worst possible time to take a step backwards.  Tony Romo was all the rage in Dallas when he took over for an aging Drew Bledsoe at quarterback, winning several games to get Dallas back into Playoffs contention.  Romo succeeded there but the Dallas Cowboys puttered out at the end of the regular season, failing to secure an NFC East Title that somehow got taken by the newest NFL sensation, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jeff Garcia.

Real Madrid will wait on David Beckham's decision to remain with the team, extending his lucrative contract to 2009.  However, they won't be waiting long.  Real Madrid reportedly has given Beckham until Friday December 29 to give an answer. 

Beckham's present Real contract expires in June 2007. Therefore, according to Fifa rules, if he decides not to extend it, he may negotiate with other clubs from January 1.

As a 3 to 1 favorite that would pay out US$3 for every US$1 bet, Irish bookmaker PaddyPower.com has revealed its latest odds on who Britney Spears will be dating next, catapulting Jessica Simpson ex, Nick Lachey, into the lead.

It is not known what prompted the online bookmaker to post such odds.

Previous favorite, Robbie Williams, now enjoys the second shortest odds (though they haven't changed much), paying US$6 for every US$1 bet.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Colin Farrell are just some of the names PaddyPower has assigned to the next shortest odds of 10 to 1.

First there was Miss USA Tara Conner's underage drinking and late night partying, then came Miss USA Pageant organizer Donald Trump's very public fight with Rosie O'Donnell over his decision to give Conner a second chance.  Now comes Miss Nevada who makes Tara Conner, Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump together look like the Three Kings/Queens who stood over Jesus' manger the night of his birth.

The war of words got real ugly between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell just in time for the joyous Christmas season.   And in all likelihood things will only get worse (or better if you love this sort of stuff like we do).

The Donald called the Los Angeles-based morning show "Good Day L.A." to sound off on O'Donnell's remarks about his near-firing of Miss USA Tara Conner.

"Maybe she wanted to put the crown back on Miss USA's head," the real-estate mogul said of the openly gay O'Donnell, who has four children with her partner, Kelli. "I think she's very attracted to Miss USA so she probably wanted to put the crown on her head herself."

Other remarks by Donald Trump included: "She is a very, very unattractive woman who really is a bully" and "Ultimately, Rosie is a loser, and ultimately ("The View") will fail because of Rosie. ... Barbara (Walters) made a mistake and let me tell you something, Barbara's a good friend of mine. She cannot stand Rosie O'Donnell."

In fairness though, ratings for The View have gone up since Rosie joined the gabfest. 

It all started when O'Donnell, co-host of the ABC morning talk show "The View," blasted Trump on Wednesday's show, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

"She said Trump's news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a "moral compass" for the beauty queen."

"He inherited a lot of money," she said. "Wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie."'

Trump fired back later Wednesday in a TV interview, calling O'Donnell a "slob," among other insults. "I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I'll sue her because it would be fun.

An amused O'Donnell talked about Trump's comments with her co-hosts on Thursday's edition of "The View."

"Wasn't that a fun night of viewing? ... Look who's here today: Kelli. I was afraid to leave her home in case somebody with a comb-over came and stole her from me," she said.

In an entry posted Wednesday night on her Web site, O'Donnell duplicated an excerpt on Trump's rocky financial history from his biography on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, which is written by users. She wrote: "i will let you know if the donald sues me/or if kelli leaves me for one of his pals/don't u find him charming."
 

Walters, who created the "The View," and executive producer Bill Geddie are standing by O'Donnell — and Trump.

"Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of 'The View' for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace," they said Wednesday in a statement.

As for reigning Miss USA Tara Conner, she will be keeping her crown....thanks to the Donald, but on the condition she check into rehab for underage drinking.

Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts sold more than 314,000 copies its first week, and Clay Aiken's 2003 Measure of a Man racked up 613,000 in first-week sales, which was enough for the chart's peak position. That same year, Ruben Studdard's Soulful also opened at #1, selling 417,000 units.

According to Variety, The show, after five seasons, appears to have created a star in Clarkson and may have another one in Underwood, whose album is at No. 6, having sold 199,000 copies last week and boasting a cume of 4.3 million.

"Hicks, more than other finalists, had an air of sincerity and experience to him that has ingratiated him to other TV shows and media. And his choice of rock classics throughout the "Idol" competion endeared him to older rock fans.

Perez Hilton (better known as webmaster Mario Lavandeira) is being sued by some of the paparazzi whose images appear on his website, more specifically the suit has been brought on by Los Angeles paparazzi agency X17 Inc.  The firm is asking for a whopping $7.6-million, claiming "copyright infringement".

So what are the odds of Perez Hilton losing this suit?  Entertainment betting website Bodog.com (see website here) was offering odds of -140 that the agency will lose its case.

Bodog has, however, placed even odds on X17 coming out on top.

"We've had trouble with a lot of bloggers," X17 co-owner Brandy Navarre told the Los Angeles Times for a story on its Web site. "But he's the biggest, and the most arrogant and pigheaded about it, frankly.

"He is stealing our images and costing us money every day," she said.

If the copyright lawsuit succeeds, "the effect would be to eliminate the ability to comment on and transform photographs under the fair-use exception to the Copyright Act," Lavandeira's lawyer said.

According to Lavandeira, he is not only standing up for his rights, but for "the rights of all bloggers."

The news looks grim for Miss USA Tara Conner whose fate will be decided by Miss Universe Organization owner Donald Trump.  The Donald has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday where he was expected to tell Conner "You're Fired!"
