Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have both announced through their respective publicists that there was no wedding in some remote African region as reported this past week by US Weekly.

The magazine said it involved a "simple and elegant" ceremony in Johannesburg accompanied by African music and Oprah in the audience.

Rumors continue to fly that Pitt and Jolie are expected to get hitched in South Africa in the upcoming weeks.

On Friday, Daily Mail UK reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were set to marry in South Africa in a pre-Christmas ceremony in a village near Johannesburg.

A "source" tells Daily Mail website: "they are treating their marriage like a spiritual affirmation and don't need big Hollywood glitz like Tom Cruise had in Italy."

It appears Spears will have a tough time living this latest incident down. Ever since Spears’ crotch shots appeared, the international press has noted she is behaving more like her soon to be ex-husband, Kevin Federline, than a pop princess on the verge of a career comeback.

Fresh from her split from the club-hopping Federline, Spears looked hip and wholesome weeks ago in a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show and while ice skating in New York's Rockefeller Center in a Gap sweater. But now she's unleashing her inner wild child, running around with party girls Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, sporting unflattering hair extensions and flashing her apparently panty-less crotch to the paparazzi.

"She's a beautiful girl and now that she's single and she's having fun, I think she's just trying to express herself," said New York-based celebrity image consultant Amanda Sanders. "Unfortunately, it's the wrong message that's coming across. And the shame is she was really such a role model."

Spears, who just turned 25, and Hilton were inseparable while hitting L.A. hotspots over the Thanksgiving weekend. Representatives for Hilton and Spears did not respond to messages Wednesday.
 
Many of Spears’ fans are getting tired of her antics. In a post on Spears' MySpace.com page, a female fan urged Spears "to read this so you understand how your fans may see the situation ... now your children need you so do the right thing Brit, and be a mother and forget the partying."

Actress and singer Bette Midler did not mince words when she referred to the celebrity party duo of Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan as "wild and wooly sluts".  Somehow, Hilton Hotel heiress, Paris Hilton, got left out of the equation.

The UK paper, Daily Mail, reports that the singer turned Oscar-nominated actress hit out at the duo who have been repeatedly photographed enjoying a string of wild nights out - missing their underwear.

'I've been on the other side to these wild and woolly sluts that we are seeing around our lives these days and I've taken the other side,' she said.

'I started my life out as pretty wild but I have decided, after much growing and living, that it's time that we got nicer.'

Meanwhile, Britney Spears tried explaining last week's antics on her own website.

"It's been so long since I've been out on the town with friends.

"It's also been 2 years since I've even celebrated my birthday. Every move I make at this point has been magnified more than I expected, and I probably did take my new found freedom a little too far. Anyway, thank God for Victoria's Secrets' new underwear line! I look forward to a new year, new music and a new me."

Spears, the mother of two young sons, celebrated her 25th birthday on Dec. 2. She has been unleashing her inner wild child since filing for divorce last month from Kevin Federline, her husband of two years.

Now that she is single, Britney Spears has revealed all she wants to do is have a little fun....perhaps before she gets hitched next. 

But Britney isn't exactly single; she has two small children.  Her partying ways have gotten her into a whole heap of trouble over the past week including various shots of Spears popping out of a club during late night hours with no panties on.

And now comes word that Britney Spears is to be investigated by social service officials concerned about the welfare of her children.

Reports say that The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services is apparently trying to track down the singer for a meeting.

"The department has been calling Britney trying to set up a meeting with her, so they can check on Sean Preston and Jayden James,’ a source told the New York Post.

Britney Spears, 25, filed for divorce from her second husband, Kevin Federline, last month, and has been seen partying with the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan since.

Mel B - betting known as Scary Spice and a singer with the former teeny bop pop sensation group The Spice Girls - claims she only found out about Eddie Murphy dumping her after friends gave her the bad news.  She was on a US flight when Murphy broke the news to the media.

She told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "I'm shell-shocked by the whole thing. As far as I was concerned we hadn't really broken up - we'd just had a bit of a row."

Mel - who is five months pregnant - also insists the 'Shrek' star is definitely the father of her unborn baby, despite him saying he is going to request a paternity test when the child is born

She added: "There's no question that Eddie is the father of my baby. I haven't been with anyone else since Eddie."

Eddie's friends have suggested his mother was a big factor in the break-up because she didn't approve of Mel and "was suspicious she got pregnant so quickly after they met".

Eddie was asked about his relationship with Mel on Dutch TV show 'RTL Boulevard' earlier this week.

He angrily replied: "You're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir."

Another former Spice Girl, Victoria Posh, is married to football sensation David Beckham.

Rapper 50 Cent's interview with Elle Magazine continues to gain momentum this week, fueled by popular radio talk show host Wendy Williams appearance on CNN's "Paula Zahn Now" where she and Syracuse Professor Dr. Boyce Watkins discussed Oprah Winfrey's policy not to book rappers on her show.

50 Cent told Elle that "She (Oprah) started out with black women's views but has been catering to middle-aged white American women for so long that she's become one herself."

Rapper Ice Cube has commented: "She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"

In GQ magazine, Ludacris called Oprah "unfair" and said that she edited his comments (on her show) and lectured him about his music.

Now one online gambling website has set odds on whether 50 Cent will appear as a guest on Oprah Winfrey before the end of February 2007.

Bodog.com (see website here) doesn't think so and has listed odds that 50 Cent will not appear on Oprah at -300.  If he does, the payout will be rewarding: A $10 bet would pay out $20.  A $50 bet would pay out $100.  And of course you can bet on all your favorite sports in the process.

"Wendy Williams has a very strong listening base not to mention her show on VH1," comments Peyton O'Brien, Entertainment Reporter for Gambling911.com.  "If she and others continue to discuss this story, Oprah may have no other choice but to address it.  I mean, surely nothing can be worse than having a couch jumping Tom Cruise on the show, right?"

Dr. Watkins argued that Oprah's issues with hard-core rappers such as Ludacris, Fifty Cent and Ice Cube may stem from issues that Oprah has with black men in general. "If you have a Nobel Prize next to your Oscar, next to your Grammy, you are in good with Oprah. But after that, you have to be on the down low, beat your wife or do something terrible to get her attention. Rank and file black men doing positive things in their communities tend to be ignored."

Dr. Watkins also believes that much of Winfrey's challenging relationship with black men may stem from her abusive childhood. "She was abused by a black man as a child, and the fact that she is such an open soul leaves those issues for the world to see," says Watkins, who has made regular appearances on shows such as Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith (ESPN), Hannity & Colmes, and many others.

Watkins does, however, note that rappers such as Ice Cube and Ludacris should not complain about not being invited on her show. "Oprah is a champion for women's rights, and you write songs degrading women," says Watkins, who is the Business and Finance editor for Inspire Magazine. "Why in the world would you think that she would want you on her show anyway? You have to take responsibility for the statements you make."

Will Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris announce that they are dating by February 28th, 2007?

This is the question posed by online gambling website Bodog.com (see website here), which threw this betting option out there but is not exactly confident it will happen.

The two not dating is listed with -620 odds while the "yes" option is +360.  Betting "No" would not yield much of a payout whereas "yes" would pay $3.60 for every $1.00 bet should the two announce they are dating before the end of February.

So what brings about this news?

Well, first off, it was announced on Monday that Lance Bass split from his boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl.  That relationship pretty much bottomed out.

According to Lance Bass' publicist, Cindy Owen, the couple has broken up. News of the announcement supposedly came as a surprise to Reichen, who was unaware that Bass issued a statement.

Now Lance must find a new boyfriend.  This should not be too hard considering the amount of time Bass spends in Miami Beach where an estimated 75% of the male population is gay.

But is Neil Patrick Harris - perhaps better known as "Doogie Howser" - really Lance's type?  His ex certainly looks nothing like Doogie. 

"Yes," says Gambling911.com's resident relationship expert Peyton O'Brien.  "Doogie came out of the closet early last month and it is common for gay celebrities to gravitate towards one another in an effort to discover prosaic ground."

What did she say?  Girl you've been spending to much time in Disney World!

Take it from Sparky, don't listen to Peyton.  She wouldn't know a gay Lance from a straight Lance.  But you know what, she might be on to something and at +360 odds, I might throw a little money down myself. 

It was somewhat of a joke that controversial online gambling website BetUS.com released betting odds on whether Britney Spears and Paris Hilton would end up starring in a "girlie" film together by the end of next year.  Still no word on how many bets were placed in this regard.

But all the ingredients are now in place, including rumors of a Britney Spears/Paris Hilton love tryst. 

At +1500, a $1 bet would pay out $15 at BetUS.com (see website here) should such a film be released.

Let's look at the facts:  Both women have reportedly starred in steamy "sex videos" - albeit the jury is still out on Britney.  Both have been cavorting around town together, scantily dressed and partying all hours of the night.  Both have been making Lindsay Lohan somehow look like a saint.  And this is coupled with the fact that Paris Hilton bowed out of her gig as a presenter for Monday evening's Billboard Music Awards, citing the reported "bashfest" of "friend" Britney Spears that was going to be taking place.

A report filed by The News of the World suggests the hotel heiress had raised eyebrows when pictures of her in a lesbian clinch with Venezuelan MTV star Eglantina Zing during a modelling shoot started making the rounds.

However, though Hilton herself has insisted that the two "were just larking around", an inside source revealed that she and Zing had definitely got hot and heavy, and that Hilton was now having a bit of a problem keeping her hands of Spears.

"Paris just couldn't keep her hands off Eglantina. And she responded-kissing and running her hands all over Paris's body.

But right now Britney's the one - Paris can't get enough of HER!" the News of the World quoted the source, as saying.

Because both girls are constantly being filmed (sometimes without their knowledge), it is entirely possible that even a late night drunken kissing episode in the back seat of a limousine filmed by paparazzi or worse - one of those concealed "limo cams" - could constitute as a "lesbo film" where BetUS.com is concerned.

This week anyway, the odds are good of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton getting together for such a video.  That's this week though.

Jessica Simpson Sunday night appeared to have a meltdown of epic proportion.  At an evening gala at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, fellow entertainers and artists celebrated the careers of the five honorees for Lifetime Achievements. 

Movie director Steven Spielberg, singers Dolly Parton and Smokey Robinson, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and conductor Zubin Mehta were feted as members of the 29th annual class of Kennedy Center honorees.

Jessica Simpson honored Dolly Parton by singing "9 to 5" though it wasn't much of an honor apparently.  Ms. Simpson finished the song abruptly with the words "so nervous" and quickly exiting, to no applause. She was in tears when she and the other singers in the tribute came back out.

CBS will broadcast the show Dec. 26 at 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo continues to deny rumors that he and Simpson are an item. 

The rumours began when Romo confessed to having a crush on Simpson, but the football players insists he's never been lucky enough to go on a date with the 26-year-old star.

He said this weekend, "So I don't have to answer any more questions about this, I'm not dating Jessica Simpson, nor have I gone on a date with her."

Guess which actor/actress stuck their foot in their mouth this time?  Well, it wasn't a guy.  It wasn't Mel Gibson making anti semitic remarks or Kramer bashing Blacks.  This time, it's Academy Awards actress Gwyneth Paltrow who compliments British citizens while bashing every single American.

"I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner," she told "NS," the weekend magazine supplement of daily Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias on Saturday.

"I like living here because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans," the 34-year-old added.

Paltrow is not going to win over many fans in the States with those remarks.  After all, she made it in Hollywood and last we checked, Hollywood is located in America.

Say what you want about Britney Spears, she's still a marketing machine despite not releasing any singles for some time (and we should be grateful for that).  Pamela Anderson may be getting up there in age, but she's still got it going on and has a few decades before catching up to Suzanne Somers, who also still has it going on.  Then there is short, balding Danny DeVito, who is about the same age as Suzanne Somers and he, too, apparently still has it going on.

These were the past week's Web's Most Wanted, or Most Searched in terms of celebrity queries.  People Magazine featured both Spears and Anderson among its most sought after subject matter.  Danny DeVito made waves after his noticeably "inebriated" appearance on ABC Television's morning gab fest The View.

Okay so Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson are no Britney Spears in terms of web traffic, but these days they may just be the next best thing.  After three months, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have filed for divorce. The final straw, as reported by The New York Post, was a blowup Rock had at Universal Studio chief Ron Meyer's house during a private screening of 'Borat', a hit movie where Sasha Baron Cohen – as the character Borat Sagdiyev - falls in love with Anderson, and drives across America in order to marry her.

According to accounts, Rock began screaming at Pamela, saying she had humiliated herself and calling her a whore in front of Meyer and his guests. This may have been the straw that broke the camels back, but BetCRIS.com is offering Borat and Kid the chance to break a few other things.

BetCRIS.com (see website here), a leading online gambling site with over 20 years of experience, has offered to sponsor a fight between both men, giving the winner a $1 Million prize in a UFC style brawl.

Rapper 50 Cent has condemned talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, suggesting among other things that she has "become white".

In an interview this month with Elle Magazine, 50 Cent lashes out: "She (Oprah) started out with black women's views but has been catering to middle-aged white American women for so long that she's become one herself.

A sex tape purporting to show Britney Spears and ex Kevin Federline circulating all over the internet; All night partying; Partying with Paris and without panties.  These are just a few of the things that could ultimately harm Britney Spears custody case.  It doesn't help matters that she was once photographed driving her young son around on her lap and nearly dropped him while paparazzi were snapping away.

For online gamblers, Britney Spears custody case could mean more than full-fledged motherhood.  It's a matter of winning some nice loot.

Take for example, BetUS.com (see website here)  That site is offering a whole array of Britney Spears props, though they have since removed the "custody betting odds".

According to Kelly Davis, vice president of X17Agency in Beverly Hills, which represents Merino, snappers caught Britney with her drawers off three times this week — on Nov. 25, Nov. 27 and Nov. 29 — as the newly single singer cavorted with celebutant Paris Hilton and actress Lindsay Lohan in Lalaland.

"Her behavior is potentially creating an issue that shouldn't otherwise exist," matrimonial attorney Dylan Mitchell of the Blank Rome law firm in New York told Fox News. "She could give Mr. Federline some leverage. If she continues like that, he could turn around and say, she's never home and other people are parenting the children."

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria is far from desperate.  She and long time boyfriend, San Antonio Spurs NBA player Tony Parks, got engaged Wednesday night.

Reports say that, following a San Antonio Spurs game, Parker flew to Los Angeles to ask for his girlfriend's hand in marriage.

Liza Anderson, a spokesperson for the actress, confirmed the news to People, saying, "Eva and Tony are officially engaged." Anderson added, "The couple have never been happier."

Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, plan to wed next summer in France. The two stars have been dating since November, 2004.

There have been various rumors of a breakup, none of which have come to fruition.

The 31-year-old Longoria, who plays crafty Gabrielle Solis on ABC's "Desperate Housewives," and the Parker, a 24-year-old French citizen, met in the Spurs' locker room after a game two years ago.

According to pagesix.com, a friend of Kid Rock said: 'Rock rearranged his life for Pamela. He moved from Detroit - something he said he would never do - and moved his son to LA - to be with her.'

But once in LA, Rock found out that he had to spend all his time taking care of the kids. The friend added: 'Pamela would go out almost every night and end up at - David LaChapelle's studio. Rock was home alone with the three kids.'

Anderson has earlier said: 'When I go to Hollywood, I start at the Chateau Marmont and then I usually end up naked in David LaChapelle's studio taking crazy pictures. That's usually a night for me. Four or five in the morning, lying across a car in David's studio.'

Rock also never fully trusted Anderson's explanation of her miscarriages, the friend said.

WooHoo! Sparky Collins here!  Cameron Diaz may have said she's not interested in marrying Justin Timberlake but if they happen to finally walk down the aisle, Diaz and Timberlake (or should that read Timberlake and Diaz) would make one helluva power couple.

Diaz placed third among the highest paid actresses this year, following only Nicole Kidman and my girl Reese Witherspoon.  Cameron Diaz gets $15 million per film in case you were wondering.  And we all know that Justin takes home a pretty penny.

And despite the couple's four year romance, Diaz insists she is not ready to marry Mr. Timberlake.

Cameron Diaz told Ellen DeGeneres that she's commitment phobic and doesn't want to get hitched.  Whatever Girl!

"I don't want to get married, I just want to catch the bouquet because I have a collection of bouquets," Diaz tells the talk show host. Cam and Justin have been dating for almost four years.

Justin appeared on DeGeneres show back in September and he wasn't exactly ready to run down the aisle either.

Yet another actor/comedian has lost it, which begs the question: "Is there something in the air?"  This time it was Danny DeVito appearing on Wednesday's femme fest, The View.

During the broadcast, DeVito, 62, slurred his words, told rambling stories and at one point sat on Rosie O'Donnell's lap. After admitting he'd been out with Clooney all night, he told the show's co-hosts with a wry smile, "I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me."

At one point his words were bleeped after apparently using an obscenity when talking about President Bush.

DeVito put in a call to The View creator and co-host Walters but has yet to speak with her about his visit to the ABC show, DeVito's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, tells PEOPLE. He plans on trying to call again this evening.

The good folks from online gambling firm BetUS.com (see website here) were reportedly in the process of determining whether they would be offering betting odds on Danny DeVito checking himself into AA and if so, when?

The good news is that DeVito only cursed out Bush as opposed to say Kramer who cursed out the Blacks and Mel Gibson who cursed out the Jews during their recent high profile rampages.  You gotta love Danny DeVito.  We do!

Richards (AKA Seinfeld's Kramer) tries to explain racist outburst at comedy club

Michael Richards, who is better known by the character name he portrayed on Seinfeld - Kramer, tried but failed to offer an explanation as to his racial outburst the other night at the Laugh Factory Comedy Club in West Hollywood.

Appearing via satellite on the David Letterman Show, Richards said: “I lost my temper on stage,” he said with a deer-in-the-headlights look. “I was at a comedy club trying to do my act, and I got heckled, and I took it badly, and went into a rage and said some pretty nasty things to some Afro-Americans, a lot of trash talk…

“You know, I’m really busted up over this,” Richards said, “and I’m very, very sorry to those people in the audience, the blacks, the Hispanics, whites – everyone that was there that took the brunt of that anger and hate and rage and how it came through.”

His voice raised throughout the interview and he appeared terribly uncomfortable. 

“I’m not a racist, that’s what so insane about this! And yet it’s said, it comes through, it fires out of me and even now in the passion that’s here as I confront myself."

When the interview was over, Richards said nothing and just waved stone-faced at the camera.
