From Gambling911.com: Carrie Stroup is a Model and Reporter for the Gambling911.com/Sports911.com Website

Carrie Stroup (born c. May 23, 1982 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) represented the United States at the Miss World 2001 Pageant. She had previously held the Miss United States Teen 1998 title. She is currently a model and a reporter for Gambling911.com, a leading news and information website that focuses on the betting market.  The multi-talented Stroup is also an accomplished pianist.

Early Life

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Carrie Ann Stroup moved at the age of three to the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Growing up in a small resort town, Carrie was very active in sports at school, participating in soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading. She was the Homecoming representative for her freshman, sophomore, and junior years and won Homecoming Queen in her senior year.

She started modeling at the age of 14 and was soon chosen by ‘Teen Magazine and Sears to be featured in a lay-out for the “Back To School Issue” of ‘Teen Magazine, winning a trip to New York City for the photo shoot. Carrie continued to model through high school and was featured in Seventeen Magazine and ‘Teen Magazine. She did several national campaigns and catalogs for major companies. She was with Millie Lewis Modeling Agency, Directions USA Modeling Agency and Elite Agency.

Carrie expressed interest in pageants at the age of 15 and won the first pageant she entered. She entered a national pageant, Miss United States Teen and won the title in 1998. While still in high school, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and to Costa Rica to compete in Miss Teen International where she placed 1st-runner-up.

Modeling Career

Carrie Stroup is one of the most recognized models in the world of online gambling.  She has photographed for various betting sites over the years prior to her engagement with Sportsbook.com.  She has also modeled using her full name of Carrie Ann Stroup.

Carrie Stroup has worked exclusively for Sportsbook.com since 2006 where she is often hired to host that company's lavish parties such as the Players Only 2007 World Series of Poker extravaganza in Las Vegas in early July.

It was announced August 16, 2007 that Carrie Stroup will be appearing in the September 2007 issue of Playboy as "Babe of the Month".  Carrie Stroup is the second Gambling911.com reporter to be featured in Playboy Magazine after former Indianapolis Colts cheerleader, Lisa Perry.  The Gambling911.com website has experienced heavy surges in traffic during the months in which its reporters and/or featured models have appeared in Playboy Magazine.  Gambling911 used to feature a "Models" section and a number of those ladies would move on to become Playboy Playmates.

Carrie has appeared in many magazines such as Men’s Health, Maxim, Women’s Health and Fitness, Teen People, Teen Magazine, Seventeen Magazine and the cover of Pageantry Magazine. She has been featured in national campaigns for Budweiser, Hawaiian Tropic, and Blue Tatoo Jeans. She has done catalog modeling for Hotsauce, Roma, J Valentine, Faris Lingerie, Nom de Plume, DUB Collection, Otomix, Troy Kingdom, Icon Media, Wicked Temptations, Shirley of Hollywood, Tyr Swimwear, ChicaRica Swimwear, Flirt and many others. She has established a well known name in the print industry.

Acting Career

While not considered for an Academy Award, Ms. Stroup's performances have been memorable for the most part.

Carrie moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and has continued to model and act. While taking acting classes, she has appeared in a guest role of NBC “Scrubs”, movies “Cellular”, “Starsky and Hutch”, “The Girl Next Door”, and “Redline”. She has also appeared in the MTV pilot “Living the Dream”, hosted “VIP Parties Uncensored” and The Learning Channel’s “Faking It”. Most recently Carrie completed The Learning Channel show “Faking It”. She currently hosts a weekly spot on the Sportsbook internet site.

Sportsbook.com Arrangement

Carrie Stroup reports for the Gambling911.com organization through an exclusive sponsorship arrangement with Sportsbook.com.  As per her contract, Ms. Stroup can only refer to betting odds offered by the Sportsbook.com website and its affiliated companies, including Super Book and Players Only.

Sports

Ms. Stroup is frequently called upon to write sports columns for the Sports911.com arm of Gambling911.com.  Her articles always feature betting odds from either Sportsbook.com or PlayersOnly.com.  Carrie's focus is heavily into futures sports markets such as NFL 2007 Regular Season Wins Totals posted ahead of the season.

Political Betting

Carrie Stroup is perhaps the most recognized personality covering the 2008 Presidential Elections betting circuit.  Stroup has especially gained wide recognition among Presidential Candidate Ron Paul's supporters.  Dr. Paul has attracted significant web traffic over the past few months.  Carrie Stroup articles related to Ron Paul have ranked among the 20 most read pieces in 2007 thus far.

American Idol Betting

Beginning in January 2007, Carrie Stroup became the official American Idol results reporter for the Gambling911.com website.  American Idol betting had already proven to be a massive hit for Gambling911.com in recent years.  From January thru May (The American Idol season), Gambling911.com is often referred to as "AmericanIdol911" for its relentless coverage of the show and its various bet offers, including weekly elimination and winner odds.  While Stroup's American Idol results were often the first to appear on the news wires, Sportsbook.com did not offer elimination odds (only odds on who would win American Idol following each results show).  Bookmaker.com, throughout much of the 2007 American Idol Season 6, was the feature "elimination odds" gambling website for American Idol betting.  Ms. Stroup's live coverage and results would attract more than 1000 unique visitors per second immediately following the show.  The Gambling911.com was forced to invest several thousand dollars in additional bandwidth just for American Idol following a 2006 season where unprecedented traffic routinely flooded bandwidth pipes throughout Western Canada where the Gambling911.com website is hosted (Lloydminster, Alberta).

Poker and Casino Strategies

Carrie Stroup is seen as the host of the PlayersOnly.com website - a state-of-the-art website that incorporates "reality technology" that makes Ms. Stroup appear to come alive (her eyes even blink).  Gambling911.com has appointed Carrie Stroup to write articles on poker and casino strategies to fill that demand now that online poker rooms encompass half of Gambling911.com's sponsor base.  These articles were scheduled to begin in late August.

Personality

Carrie Stroup is considered a "good girl" among the Gambling911.com stable of sexy female reporters.  She does not cuss and does not act in a promiscuous fashion.  Ms. Stroup also reads the Bible.  By contrast, fellow journalist, Jenny Woo is a "swinger type" who is known for her rabid sexual prowess.  Woo is also involved in marketing projects with the Gambling911.com website, whereas Ms. Stroup does not engage in any type of marketing practices for Gambling911.
