Carrie Stroup Implodes and so do the Sportsbooks

Carrie Stroup's disastrous run Monday night had everyone shocked and scratching their respective heads, not to mention broke.  But Carrie wasn't alone.  In addition to her minions, the bookies were also hurting badly after what was probably the single most bet on game of Week 7 left them reeling.

Failing to move the line off Indianapolis -3, Sportsbook.com held pat with their opinion that Jacksonville would cover that 3 point line.  The game was not even close.  More than 90% of the betting action was on the Colts heading into the Monday Night showdown.

"I am so terribly sorry," a depressed Carrie Stroup said late Monday evening.  As well she should be.

Despite this loss, Stroup still ended up with a 5-3 record thanks in part to a 4-0 College Football showing.

As for the bookmakers, Monday Night's loss at the hands of sports bettors came following a near brilliant NFL weekend capped off by Denver's big "bookie" win over Pittsburgh at home.  Both the Sunday Night and Monday Night games turned out to be the most opinionated of the weekend with extremely lopsided action.
