"Talks between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant have broken off at the 11th hour over disagreements in the contracts. Discussions could be revisited but for now, fight appears dead after a deal was on the verge of completion."
Canelo was listed as a -600 favorite, Plant +400.
The fight was expected to go off September 18.
BetOnline has odds up on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson exhibition fight scheduled for July 20. The sportsbook has previously seen significant betting action come in on exhibition fights as the competition was close to zero but the demand high.
