WILL THESE STATES WELCOME SPORTS BETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

Indiana - Lawmakers had already established a summer study committee to explore possible legislation to make this a reality in the Hoosier state.

State Rep. Alan Morrison, R-Terre Haute, has introduced bills the past few years, but they haven't advanced far enough for a vote. Morrison said he's "very pleased and excited about the decision" and that he thinks legalizing sports gambling in Indiana has a "fairly good" chance of passing next year. But even in a best-case scenario, sports fans in the state would probably not be able to wager until September 2019, Casino Association of Indiana president Matt Bell said.

Kentucky - Rep. Jason Nemes of Louisville promised to draft a bill after the Supreme Court ruling but any introduction won’t be until January.

“Hopefully Kentucky is smart enough to seize the day and get it done,” he said.

Needless-to-say, gamblers from these states will need to rely on international websites to place all their NFL bets
