Bodog Music Act Method Man ArrestedGambling911.com entertainment reporter and everybody's favorite tri-sexual, Sparky Collins, weeds out the latest celebrity news and stumbles upon this little ditty about a newly signed Bodog Music act getting into some trouble with the law
How high was Bodog Music's Method Man when he got pulled over in New York City for an expired sticker?
The arresting officer was greeted with a cloud of smoke.
Clifford Smith, aka Method Man, was arrested Thursday evening in the Battery Tunnle, his Lincoln Navigator towed away. Method Man is part of the mega rap group Wu Tang Clan, signed on just last month by billionaire bad boy Calvin Ayre and his Bodog Music label.
When rapper Method Man rolled down his SUV's window at the Battery Tunnel to pay the toll, a cloud of marijuana smoke wafted outside - and landed him in jail, authorities said yesterday.
"It was like something out of 'Cheech and Chong.'
He rolls down the window and the smoke would choke a horse," a source said.
Method Man's latest release "4:21 . . .The Day After" includes tracks such as "Somebody Done F**ked Up," and "4:20". The 2001 film "How High" stars Method Man as one of two men who smoke supernaturally enhanced marijuana, ace their college entrance exams, and go on to attend Harvard.
Method Man was very agreeable throughout Thursday's ordeal, and even volunteered that he had more weed stashed under his driver's seat, according to reports.
Bodog Music secured the European signing of legendary hip-hop super group Wu-Tang Clan. The label releases The 8 Diagrams, Wu-Tang's first studio album in 6 years, in Germany on September 7th, with a separate release in the UK and the rest of Europe on September 10th.

Sparky Collins "Oops I F**ked Up" Thought of the day: "Marijuana is like Coors beer. If you could buy the damn stuff at a Georgia filling station, you'd decide you wouldn't want it.” |
It is the biggest act signed to Bodog Music since Canadian established recording artist and bisexual Bif Naked debuted with the label.
The group tours Europe this summer, including two UK shows, one at the Hammersmith Apollo on July 5 and one at the Manchester Apollo on July 6. Appearing live will be original Wu-Tang members, Ghostface Killah, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, U-God and Cappadona. Also this summer, the crew is headed to the U.S. with Rage Against The Machine and Public Enemy.
Bodog Music's Calvin Ayre was unavailable for comment Saturday.
