Bob Corker now a huge favorite in Tennessee Senate race

Carrie Stroup here from Election Betting Headquarters in Miami Beach and we are getting down to the wire here folks.  Election Day is tomorrow and don't forget to vote.

Political gamblers at Sportsbook.com (See website here), the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino, seem less confident in a Republican majority Senate, even though that hasn't stopped them from suddenly betting strong on Bob Corker, Republican challenger out of Tennessee.

This one is far from a "toss up" according to betting trends which now have Corker a blistering -650 compared to Democratic candidate Harold Ford Jr. with odds of +350.

Let me explain what these odds mean.  If you were to bet on Corker, you'd have to bet $650 to win $100 (plus your initial $650 wager).  That's pretty steep.

Obviously, the value is on Harold Ford Jr. at +350 where you would only have to bet $100 to win $350 (plus your initial $100 bet).  Of course you can bet $10 to win $35 and so on.  I'm no math genius but you get the idea.

Tennessee is shaping up to be one of the hottest Senate races in the country with plenty of attack ads from both parties.  Ford Jr. is being depicted as a "playboy" but we're not quite sure why the sudden shift in odds.  Corker had only been a small -135 favorite coming into today.  That's one heck of a surge - 91% of bettors are on Corker now compared to just 9% of betting action on Ford Jr.
