Big Brother: Anti Semitic Remarks Cause Uproar Among Jews

Video of Amber discussing Jews as "selfish" and easy to point out "by their noses" could lead to protests

Big Brother 8 in the US seems to be taking a cue from its sister show across the pond.  Anti Semitic remarks on the show reflect back to last year's Celebrity Big Brother UK where a racial row directed at one of the Indian housemates caused riots in both India and England.

Amber said the majority of Jews she knows are "selfish." She then went on to say that her mom and sister explained to her that one can tell who is Jewish based on "their last name" and "by their nose." Gevalt! Amber then proceeded to tell a story about a selfish waitress she worked with who turned out to be ... wait for it ... Jewish! Didn't see that one coming! A shonda!

Amber's exact statement: "The majority of people I know from New York are Jewish, and the majority of Jewish people I know, my gosh, so many are so selfish. So weird. Even my sister always tells me, she's like my sister, and my mom will meet someone and I'll be like, 'I don't like that person. That person doesn't seem like a very good person to me,' and my mom and sister are like, 'You know why?' Why? 'They're Jewish.' How do you know? 'Amber you can tell by their last name, you can tell by their nose.' I'm like, 'Really?'"

Jameka, who was on the receiving end of Amber's deep thoughts, reminded Amber that she shouldn't make blanket statements like that. "Yeah, you're right," Amber replied. "There is so much to think about." Most of which, it would seem, Amber has avoided thus far.

And as TMZ.com points out, William S. Paley, Ukrainian Jew, was largely responsible for the rise of the CBS network where Big Brother 8 airs.
