Forget Lindsay Lohan! Beyonce Knowles falling was a much hotter news story this week - along with the video to go along with it. Perhaps a lot of you missed it. I nearly fell off my chair watching Houston's finest take the tumble.
Honestly though the best part of this Beyonce falling video was when she gets up and starts dancing. WTF?
This is Jenny Woo reporting for Gambling911.com and ready to roll into our new season here with some of the hottest entertainment news on the planet. I'll be covering the stories y'all love to read about such as More Hot Athlete's Wives and Footballers Coming Out of the Closet.
But first Beyonce Knowles. Unlike Lohan, Knowles is actually a good role model for today's youth, especially young girls. For the generation above me there was Farrah Fawcet. We had Julia Roberts I suppose. Thankfully there is Beyonce and Ciara for today's youth whose message is often about chastity, a subject Yours Truly knows little about.
Us divas to fall from grace every now and again.
Beyonce Knowles made a dramatic misstep when she fell face-first down a flight of stairs during a concert. Ever the stage professional, she got right up and continued her performance as if nothing had happened. (See Video Here) I HAVE MORE FALLING VIDEOS FOR YOU BELOW.
The 25-year-old singer — flipping her hair dramatically and wearing a long red trench coat and high heels — was performing her song "Ring the Alarm" during a concert Tuesday in Orlando, Florida, when she tripped and stumbled down several stairs.
Knowles quickly regained her footing, reclaimed her microphone and went on with the show.
A spokeswoman for the singer did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press on Thursday.
Amateur videos of the tumble had nearly 900,000 hits on the YouTube.com Web site Thursday morning. Posting of the videos began Wednesday. By Thursday, YouTube had removed the video and all the websites that embedded it were left with a black square reading "No Longer Available".
Falling it seems is all the rage these days. Let's look at Miss USA when she fell in Mexico and made it into the Top 5 to the dismay of the Mexican audience. I was there to report on it and YES....her fall got mega searches.
There have been instances of models tripping on the runway and legions of Web surfers (like me) go wild.
Are we sick for loving this stuff. I can reserve this space for a scientific analysis but instead will hand it over to the oddsmakers at Bodog.com who I'm told will be offering odds on the next celebrity klutz. The online gambling company also features a music arm - Bodog Music whose stable of performers include Wu Tang Clan and Bif Naked.
The obvious come klutz-prone people come to mind: Britney Spears, Paris Hilton. Stage-friendly performers probably stand a better chance of falling than drunken party girls. Of course, when you combine the two - Amy Winehouse might be a big favorite
especially with Bodog about to focus heavily on the European market.
Those same inherent desires to see an accident up ahead on the highway when we are stuck in an hour long traffic jam may apply here. Everyone loves a good fall.
Whether Bodog.com offers odds on the next celebrity to take a tumble remains to be seen as does YouTube allowing the video of Beyonce falling. We don't know why it was taken down.
Falling is natural, fun and sometimes glorious, especially when celebrities do it. They fall from their perch and we love to bare witness. Just remember one thing: It is better to keep a friend from falling than to help him up.
