BetonSports selling even the kitchen sink: Absolute Poker absolute mistake?

"BetonSports.com just sold one of its rooftop sofas to an employee.  That's how bad the situation has become with them," a source told Gambling911.com.

That company has refused to pay players even though an Eastern Missouri District Court has ordered them to do so.  BetonSports shut down completely last month.

Following the arrest of another online gambling exec today, Peter Dicks of Sportingbet, Gambling911.com has learned today that online poker firm, AbsolutePoker.com, is considering hiring one of BetonSports executives.

"They (AbsolutePoker) are offering him a lot of money and I fear the repercussions this might cause," someone close to the situation told Gambling911.com today.  "Especially in light of what happened today I do not want to see Absolute come under the radar with this type of hiring.

"These are great guys who work there (at Absolute).  Some of the best.  They don't need to be tainting themselves with the same brush as this individual.  He (BetonSports executive) is not from the same fraternity as these guys."

The source referred to the fact that the folks who run Absolute Poker were all part of the same college fraternity.

With BetonSports customers still owed, a senior management person from that company working elsewhere will most likely be frowned upon by all sectors, and not just players.

Meanwhile, Easybets, the only BetonSports brand still open, has begun to lock player accounts.  Gambling911.com is urging its readers not to play with Easybets at this time.
