BetonSports Founder Speaks to Federal Judge

BetonSports founder Gary S. Kaplan, who's charged with racketeering and illegal inter state gambling, asked a federal judge Tuesday to dismiss his indictment.  Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.

Kaplan is presently being held without bail in connection with a federal indictment on racketeering and conspiracy charges.  The US government alleges that Kaplan owned and operated online betting enterprise BetonSports, which shut down last July.

A press release issued by the US Attorney's office out of St. Louis last month erroneously claimed that they had captured another co-defendant, Norman Steinberg.
