The UCF vs. Connecticut game represents the first big one for the 2018 College Football season with the Knights ranked number 21 in the nation and a -24 favorite versus the Huskies.

UCF Outlook 2018

UCF, as noted above, was ranked 24 in the nation coming into the new season.  Significantly more betting action from the Orlando area is expected as a result of this team's unbridled success of late.  And there are no signs of waivering.

Much of last year's talent returns, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

UCF is priced both ways -115 to win OVER/UNDER 9.5 regular season games.

This Could Get Ugly

From AthlonSports:

As if having a quarterback coming off a 4,000-yard season wasn’t already a strong enough advantage for UCF, Milton will be going up against a defense that returns just two starters and ranked 130th in the nation in pass defense in 2017. That is a lot of ground to make up for the Huskies on defense and this is not the matchup to hope things break their way. Milton could flirt with a 400-yard passing game, something he did twice last season. The Huskies held him to 311 yards in last year’s meeting.

The advantage UCF has here can not be understated.  Is it enough to get them to a 24-plus winning margin?  We will know soon enough.
