A Barry Bonds Home Run #756 Will Pay Nicely for Sports Bettors

Depending on when Barry Bonds slugs home run #756 to beat Hank Aaron's record, some sports bettors will enjoy decent returns on their wagers.

While the bigger payout odds were being offered prior to August 2, there is still a change bettors can make out big should Bonds hit two homers on Thursday.  Odds for Bonds hitting home run #756 on August 2 were set at 6 to 1 or a payout potential of $600 for every $100 bet.  He entered the day with 754 home runs after going dry on Wednesday.

One bet that has a real shot of winning big is whether Baseball commissioner Bud Selig is in attendance when Bonds hits #756.  Selig has promised he'll be following Barry Bonds throughout the Padres series in San Diego.  Selig being in attendance was listed with +140 odds or $140 paid out for every $100 bet at Super Book Online Betting.

Selig had planned to fly to Minneapolis on Thursday to participate in the Twins' groundbreaking for a new stadium. But that event was canceled Wednesday after an entire span of an interstate bridge collapsed into the Mississippi River during evening rush hour.

Selig will travel to Milwaukee on Thursday and miss the series finale in Los Angeles, leaving Hall of Famer Frank Robinson to represent Major League Baseball. Selig planned to rejoin Bonds on Friday in San Diego.
