Barbara Walters Dragged into Donald Trump Rosie O'Donnell Feud

Will the Donald Trump - Rosie O'Donnell feud result in Barbara Walters ridding O'Donnell from "The View"?

Fox News is reporting that Rosie O'Donnell allegedly accused Barbara Walters of being "a [expletive] liar" in ABC Studios' hair and makeup room Monday morning, according to The New York Post's Page Six gossip section.

The spat began about 8:30 a.m. when Walters walked in after two weeks' vacation and tried to give O'Donnell a hug, a gesture the latter responded to by fuming, "You kept me in the newspapers this whole time!", Page Six reported, quoting unidentified "spies" on the scene.

Walters, along with "View" producer Bill Geddie, tried to soothe O'Donnell, but she was having none of it, according to the Post.

"You didn't call me for 10 g--damn days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!" O'Donnell reportedly told Walters.

O'Donnell was apparently referring to an appearance Trump made on "Larry King Live" two weeks ago, after the comedian had mocked his "comb-over" hairdo and called him a "snake-oil salesman" on "The View."

Walters would later appear on air denying she had bad mouthed O'Donnell to Donald Trump.

Backstage on Monday, producer Geddie told O'Donnell she'd "crossed the line" with her tongue-lashing of Walters, the Post reported.

Despite Trump's caustic attack on O'Donnell, it is widely believed that the controversial talk show host started the feud with a personal assault on Donald Trump's "infidelity" and "comb over".  Trump has recently appeared on air suggesting he was personally hurt by the comments about his hair.

O'Donnell began bashing Trump for giving Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance after reports of underaged drinking and late night clubbing surfaced.  Trump owns the Miss USA pageant.

Meanwhile, none of this nor a move to Los Angeles appears to be helping Trump's "Apprentice" series in the ratings.

The show averaged a lackluster 9.1 million viewers for Sunday night's premiere of the sixth installment of "The Apprentice."

That tally was down 600,000 viewers from last year's premiere of season five and marked the smallest audience yet for a season debut of Trump's show on NBC, ratings service Nielsen Media Research reported on Monday.
