BYU bloodbath, Notre Dame demolishes Penn State

This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Sports911.com....

BYU had dropped from a -5 1/2 favorite to -4 vs. Tulsa then it went back to -5 with late action coming in on BYU.  At one point 88% of the action on the money line fell on Tulsa.  By game time, that action was carved to 65% betting BYU.  And BYU clobbered Tulsa 49-24.

Likewise, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish made an example out of Penn State, demolishing them 41-17. 60% of action was on Notre Dame for both the spread and money line earlier in the day.  It was pretty even money at game time on the Notre Dame -9 spread (up from -8) but 70% of the betting action for the money line was on Notre Dame at

San Jose St. was one we had our eyes on.  Earlier in the day we noticed that 94% of money line action was on San Jose St.  Later in the day most of the money line action went towards Stanford, which did end up losing outright.

New Mexico State also had plenty of early action and this was a team we were monitoring for great value.  The final score came in at New Mexico 34-28 but anyone who got on New Mexico State early enough walked off with a win while most of you betting late got the push (line fell right on the late -6).

Carrie Stroup's "action report" had San Jose State, New Mexico State and Notre Dame as key games for gamblers to watch.  But what happened to Tulsa?

Across the board, this game featured some unbelievable line movements with an opening of New Mexico -13 1/2 and dropped to -4 1/2 at some books.

A lot of savvy sports bettors middled this one and got on New Mexico at -5 (the line at game time for Sportsbook.com).

Notre Dame, San Jose St. and New Mexico State were all games I suggested to keep an eye on early and all were winners against the spread.  There was a feeling that New Mexico State could win outright but failed to in the final minutes.

Tulsa also appeared to be a live dog.....but ended up leaving the field in a wimper.  Oh well, you can't win them all.
