Ayre's Jaunt with the
America's Cup
Straight off the hugely successful Bodog Fight “Clash of the Nations” PPV event in St. Petersburg Russia attended by world leaders Vladimir Putin and Silvio Burlusconi (and Jean Claude Van Damme) where he watched acclaimed fighter Fedor Emilianenko trounce Matt Lindland, Bodog founder Calvin Ayre is still globetrotting Bodog style.
Ayre jetted from Russia, with love of course, to Valencia, Spain for the 32nd running of the America’s Cup. There he was to be the 18th Man on the French entrant, the Areva Challenge. Alas the wind was too low for the race to go off, so instead he was able to pilot the boat! America’s Cup boats are the most highly technologically advanced sailing vessels on the seas. Running an America’s Cup team requires technical prowess, astute leadership and teamwork skills, and a sense of adventure, just like running Bodog Entertainment! Minus the women based on these photos that appear below.
