American Idol Betting Odds (April 1, 2008)

No April Fool's Day joke here as young David Archuleta remained the even favorite heading into this week's American Idol performance show.

David Cook, who is making quite an impact on the show of late, came in with 8 to 5 odds, paying $8 for every $5 bet at Sportsbook.com

The American Idol theme for this week - It's Dolly Parton Week and guess what - country bumpkin Kristy Lee Cook, who had been among the bottom barrel of contestants, probably has the best edge here.   She managed to stay out of the bottom three for the first time with "the smartest song choice ever" - "Proud to be an American".  And - yeah - she sang it well.
