American Idol: Odds to Win (Updated May 6)

With only four Idols left and what seems like some lopsided talent on the surface, American Idol odds to win have been updated with both David Cook and David Archuleta small favorites (-110 odds or bet $10.00 to win $9.00 (get your initial wager back only if your bet wins).

The value, we suppose, is on either Jason Castro or Syesha Mercado.  Both have had some memorable performances this season.  In particular, Syesha seems to be coming into her own late in the game but may lack the fan base (she has routinely showed up among the bottom two.

But Jason had odds that would pay $25 for every $1 bet and Syesha $40 for every $1 bet.

An unusual angle was offered by Gambling911.com's own Idol prognosticator, Payton O'Brien.

"David Archuleta and David Cook fans may not even be watching since they are so sure the two will go up against one another in the final.  This means Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado fans may be the majority watching."

O'Brien's predictions are running at a 3 percent clip on the year, so we say bet either of the two Davids at even odds.
