Carrie Stroup here with your latest American Idol updates live as always. We are down to 10 Idol hopefuls and 9 by tomorrow.
Unfortunately there is a service outage in our immediate area so please bare with us this evening. Be sure to check out all the latest odds at Sportsbook.com here
Lakisha started off the show good but she's slipping. No "Wow" factor.
Chris Sligh was up next and our reporters suggest he picked the wrong song. "He was pretty awful" we were told. This could be huge since Sligh was notably a major underdog to be voted off this week.
Tonight was reportedly Gina Glocksen's best performance. She is likely to stay in the competition beyond this week.
Sanjaya's performance has been slammed. And he forgot the words. Was that a dead animal on Sanjaya's head? Thankfully we are suffering from a cable outage. He was the favorite to be voted off this evening.
"It doesn't matter what he says anymore, the 13 year old girls don't listen to him," commented judge Simon Cowell.
Phil Stacey sang "Every Breath You Take" and it was good according to our reporters.
Haley was not very good this evening. "Not a great song choice," said Simon so maybe voters will blame it on the song and still vote for those legs.
Melinda was once again solid our reporters have informed us.
Blake has gotten "very average" nods from our reporters. He was doing "The Cure".
Jordin was up next. Bad outfit, bad song choice but she is probably a keeper heading into next week.
Chris Richardson singing "Don't Speak" was average.
Tonight's big winners: Surprisingly Gina, then Melinda did well, Lakisha should be safe. Phil actually performed well enough that he should remain in the competition.
Sanjaya, Haley and - yes - Chris Sligh....all candidates to be voted off this week.
