American Idol: Oddsmakers Losing Faith in Lakisha Jones

AddThis Social Bookmark Button Slowly but surely, Melinda Doolittle is looking like the Idol to beat in the hit television competition American Idol.  The one time favorite, Lakisa Jones, is now being offered at odds close to 3 to 1.

"Lakisha at this time would pay out $2.40 for every $1.00 bet," exclaimed Gambling911.com American Idol fanatic and expert, Payton O'Brien.  "That's a good value considering Jones is consistent week after week."

The voice is powerful and there is no reason to believe she cannot win this competition.

"Simon Cowell stated a few weeks back that Lakisha Jones was out of everybody else's league.  At the time she was deemed unbeatable."

O'Brien has provided her post St. Patties Day confession.

"The show is not very good this year in terms of the talent pool and with singers like Sanjaya Malakar winning week after week, I am not sure that things are going to get much better."

Ironically, the Malakar inclusion has added some spark to the show.

"We are now glued to our seats waiting to see if he will be back yet another week," O'Brien says.  "We don't want him to win, but at least we can be guaranteed a good laugh and solid ribbing from the judges.  If this were the dark ages, I would tune in waiting each week to see if he avoids being fed to the lions.  They would probably spit him out though if he starts to sing."

Gambling911.com announced that Carrie Stroup will be on assignment Tuesday.  Filling in for her here live to cover Tuesday night's "British Invasion" show will be Payton O'Brien and Sports911.com special guest, Tyrone Black.  Should be exciting.
