- 2007 Betting Odds
Alabama football 2007
betting odds are now available. Nick Saban was
lured away from the NFL Miami Dolphins to coach the
Crimson Tide. It took a king’s ransom to score
Saban, whose LSU teams (2000-04) were among the
nation’s best, according to Athlon.
"Alabama is not deep,
and its defensive front is suspect in size, numbers
and talent. However, a big pack of skill players
returns on offense, fronted by an experienced, if
underperforming, line. This is Alabama’s
good-schedule year, with its toughest games — save
for Auburn — at home. Saban could pull off a
surprise in his first season.
"Saban’s presence will
make Alabama a stronger team, mentally and
physically. His authoritative approach and in-game
agility should also be a large net gain. A great
nucleus of productive players returns, so it’s not
out of the question to think the Tide could push
toward the top of the SEC West. However, the lack of
experience on the front seven is likely to come into
play down the stretch, when Alabama faces
well-fortified foes such as Tennessee, LSU and
Auburn.
"If it remains realitively injury-free and if the
freshman class contributes, Alabama could make a run
at a division title in Saban’s first year. But it's
more likely the Tide won't be a contender until
2008."
Alabama football 2007 betting odds have the Crimson
Tide at
+300 to win the SEC West
Division for a potential $300 payout on
every $100 bet. Alabama would pay $800 for
every $100 bet if they were to win the SEC
Conference. Alabama is a slight favorite of
-125 to win UNDER 8 regular season games and listed
with even odds to win OVER 8 regular season games.
$5000 would be paid for every $100 bet should
Alabama win the BCS Championship.
