Absolute Poker Will Survive

Absolute Poker takes in between $1.5 mil and $2 mil per day (gross), a Gambling911.com source close to the company disclosed Monday evening.

"Absolute Poker will survive this (scandal)," the individual predicted.  "There are about a hundred investors in the company to ensure this happens."

The third largest US-facing online poker room has come under fire in recent days following confirmation of an "internal breach".  The two suspects include founder Scott Tom and former Director of Operations, AJ Green.  They have come under serious fire from the tight-knit online poker community.

Scott Tom started the company in 2003 with his dad helping to finance it.  The father son tandem are from Las Vegas.  Tom would bring others into the company.

"They (AJ and Scott Tom) are not talking to investors," our source disclosed.  "But Absolute Poker does not need Scott Tom.  There is a strong management team in place with hundreds of employees."

While Nine.com is not in any way connected to Absolute Poker, some of the former employees in Nine.com became "small investors".

"It is unexplainable to me what he (Scott Tom) was thinking," said our source, assuming Tom is guilty of cheating.  A third party audit is presently underway.

Tom has been residing between Costa Rica and Panama City, Panama.

"See what happens when the US interferes," our source added.  "Sites like this (Absolute Poker) become big rather than the companies like Party Poker who were regulated and had to follow strict guidelines.  So no one should be surprised by any of this."
