decided to taunt
poor A-Rod (Alex
Rodriguez) of the
New York Yankees
Monday night by
displaying photos of
pop icon Madonna.
A-Rod and Madonna
have been
romantically linked,
though both deny the
suggestion.
A-Rod's wife,
Cynthia, filed for
divorce last week.
Last year, a group
of Boston Red Sox
fans donned "blonde
babe masks"
following news that
A-Rod was spotted
leaving a strip club
with a then
unidentified blonde.
The New York Yankees
third baseman,
surrounded by
reporters, refused
to crack.
Meeting the news
media with other
All-Stars on Monday
at a hotel ballroom,
Rodriguez showed no
signs of succumbing
to the stress of
having his personal
life splashed on the
pages of the New
York tabloids.
"Look, everyone has
distractions,"
Rodriguez says.
"Everyone has
personal issues.
Mine are just on the
front page of the
papers.
"I'm fine with it.
You have to deal
with that,
challenging times.
I'm not blaming the
media."
