Baffert Breeders Cup History

According to Michael Dempsey's Breeders Cup Wagering Guide, Baffert has won 14 Breeders Cup races in his colorful Hall of Fame career.

Baffert's Top Contender

Game Winner - He'll be racing in the Juvenile and is expected to be the favorite.  Game Winner is the most likely of the Baffert-trained entries to win.  He's undefeated coming into this weekend.

Baffert's juveniles success has been exceptional this year.  He started 19 in Del Mar this summer and won with a dozen of them.

His Filly & Mare record is not that great.  Baffert will saddle two of the leading contenders - Marley's Freedom and Dream Tree - but is just 0-5 in this race.

Marley's Freedom is undefeated in his last three.

Baffert's Classic Entries

Baffert has the edge in the Breeders Cup Classic, having won three straight years before his top horse Collected finished 2nd last year.

West Coast - He ran third in last year's Breeders Cup Classic, but has made only three starts since.

McKenzie - He's Baffert's three-year-old entering the BC Classic.  He had a strong win September 22 in the Pennsylvania Derby.

Collected - He is expected to return but has been limited in starts since last year's Classic.
