Oddsmakers have
Press Spokesman Scott McClellan replaced by end of
month

Scott McClellan is
likely to hand in resignation shortly according to
online bookmakers, which list him with -140 odds of
being replaced.
A
number of top White House aids positions are in
jeopardy as
reported by Gambling911.com
yesterday. Among those appearing to
be on the chopping block are Defense Secretary
Donald Rumsfeld, Treasury Secretary John Snow and
Press Spokesman Scotty McClellan. There are
probably others.
In response to this
article,
Bodog.com (See
Web Site Here) has released
odds on whether McClellan will be replaced by April
30, 2006.
Odds make his a
favorite at -140 to be ousted (bet $14 to win $10).
McClellan staying on board is listed with even odds.
Gambling911.com actually believes this to be easy
money at -140 or $140 to win $100.
Speculation is growing
inside the administration and among outside Bush
advisers that Press Secretary Scott McClellan may be
among the next to step down as the White House moves
to present a more aggressive stance under new White
House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten.
While some insiders say that the rumors are false
and that McClellan plans to remain, others suggest
that what's going on is a subtle nudge by West Wing
officials to indicate that it might be time for the
long-time press secretary and Bush family friend to
move on.
Those close to the situation–one of many in the mix
of potential changes Bolten is said to be
considering in a shake-up–said potential
replacements are already being suggested for the top
spokesman's slot. Among them are former Treasury
spokesman Rob Nichols and former Deputy White House
Press Secretary Trent Duffy.
Online bookmakers have
been especially accurate in the past when it comes
to political betting, in particular
elections....more so than polls we might add.
A Bodog.com
representative informed Gambling911.com that more
odds would be up regarding potential resignations -
including that of Rumsfeld - later today.
