LA Lakers: Casino Night for Youth Foundation draws massive celebrity participation

Dean Cain, Kobe Bryant, Paris Hilton and even her mom joined the festivities to honor a great cause Wednesday night, the Bodog.com sponsored LA Lakers Casino Night, which raised money for the Lakers Youth Foundation.

The Lakers Youth Foundation is dedicated to using its resources to provide life-enriching opportunities for today’s youth. The Lakers Read to Achieve program focuses on literacy with the goals of building a lifelong love of reading in young people, promoting the value of reading and online literacy, and encouraging families and adults to read regularly with young children.

The enormously popular celebrity-filled event originally drew the ire of the United States Justice Department, whose position it is that casino-related themes and youth charities simply do not mix.  The show still went on as planned, with Bodog.com sponsoring the much-anticipated poker tournament.

Bodog.com CEO Calvin Ayre gave a riveting speech to the hoards of celebrities who filled the massive hangar space.

"Yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda" was about the extent of that speech.  It reminded us of something out of a Peanuts television show where the parents speak in an incoherent tone of voice.

Ayre of course arrived fashionably late in his stretch hummer along with beautiful models, some of whom are dating him.

Sports911.com's newest addition, reporter Anna Lexington, worked the red carpet with a broken microphone...not that it mattered.  Our photographer got the shots most paparazzi and Wired Image would kill for.  In fact, all of LA's hottest photographers were on hand to shoot the parade of A List celebrities who walked the red carpet.

This was a crazy night for Sports911.com.  The site recorded unprecedented traffic following the American Idol elimination hour.  That coverage was hosted by Sports911.com's other beauties Senior Reporter Jenny Woo, Payton O'Brien and everyone's favorite professional sports team cheerleader and dancer, Destiney Lewis, who is slated to appear on NBC's hit series "Deal or No Deal".

Say it isn't so.  Bodog.com's Virginal Fawn Seeton giving an interview?  Could it be?

Dr. Buss: What the hell is that on my left shoulder?

It's Luke Walton of the LA Lakers

Yo!  Over here please!

Now get on your knees and beg me to interview you with this broken microphone

I'm blonde and so is my boss, therefore the microphone does not work.

Honestly, I have no clue what I am doing here.....But yes it is for a good cause and that is all that matters

We have no idea what Anna asked her....but it must have been good.

Never fear....Anna Lexington is here.....

Sports911.com's Anna Lexington snags both Kobe and his lovely wife Vanessa in her first reporting gig.  Way to go!

The always glamorous Paris Hilton arrives at the Bodog.com sponsored Poker Tournament

Annnnnnnnnnnna Lexington!!!!!!!!!!!!  Magic Johnson will be the honorary guest speaker at this July's Bodog.com Conference.  Don't miss it!

Sports911.com's newest addition to its esteemed reporter staff (the best in the business) Anna Lexington

Oh yeah, that's Calvin Ayre with her....fashionably late as usual and being cussed out by the bitch photographer camped out first on the red carpet before we pushed her out of the way....as we felt it was only fitting that Sports911.com be the first to greet Mr. Ayre.

WE HAVE MORE ON THE WAY.....STAY TUNED FOR THE PARTY SHOTS
